You can block me as much as you want @MordecaiMuriisa but I won't stop telling you the truth... Stop glorifying ignorance in disguise of political activism. Instead guide the little ones in the right path... be a movement with clear goals/objectives rather than abuse big people.
@hillarytaylorvi Soldiers who think working in Congo or Somalia is a punishment or suicide are pretending to be soldiers but not patriotic in that they do t know the cause for joining the army. We call it love for soft life. Mabonga thinks the soldiers who are working there aren't they people?
UPDF expresses its support for our brothers in the Ethiopian National Defense Force in this latest eruption of fighting in northern Ethiopia. We call for an immediate cessation of the escalation and hostilities. We call for the respect and adherence to the Pretoria Peace Agreement. Ethiopia's unity and sovereignty must be respected and protected by all.
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni
@DailyMonitor He is among the biggest corrupt officials through land grabbing and selling fake gold... now that his dealings were exposed, he then seems to be contradictory to the government
Mobonga’s Greed for Wealth Led Him into a Trap to Betray Uganda and Its People
Mobonga’s greed for wealth led him into a trap, pushing him to betray Uganda and its people.
Using foreign and colonialist money, Bobi Wine and his fellow anti-African people allegedly paid an officer, Mabonga, to desert the army, create fake records, and produce unrelated or misleading videos aimed at giving our security forces and able leaders a bad name.
Fortunately, their scheme has failed. Ugandans are not accepting their lies, falsehoods, and fabricated stories.
Ugandans, these are people whose actions seek to destabilise our hard-earned peace. Let us reject all their falsehoods and concoctions and remain committed to protecting the peace and stability of our country.
Mabonga claims that he was tortured, which he says is why his name appears on the list he released. However, towards the end of the video, he says that he was allowed to move in and out of the place and he wasn't in captivity.
He also claims that he refused deployment to Fort Portal because he considered it too far. Taken together, these contradictions raise questions abt his discipline. He is just undisciplined.
“People don’t differentiate between wealth creation and development. You can have development like tarmacked roads and electricity, but still people remain poor,” - President Yoweri Museveni
Reliable electricity is another important requirement for ICT businesses. Software development, BPO, cloud services and data centres depend on consistent access to digital infrastructure and power.
Financial independence should not end with old age. President Yoweri Museveni’s emphasis on preserving wealth and supporting elderly persons without assets through government programmes speaks to inclusive and sustainable economic transformation.
@KagutaMuseveni The proposal for geriatricians in every district highlights the need for healthcare systems that respond specifically to the needs of older persons.
@KagutaMuseveni Supporting older persons should go beyond welfare; it should also help them preserve assets, access healthcare and remain economically secure.
@KagutaMuseveni Tailoring PDM to support the elderly will provide more opportunities for older persons to improve their livelihoods and maintain financial independence.
@KagutaMuseveni Government programmes that deliberately support older persons in wealth creation could strengthen household incomes and improve dignity in old age.
I officiated at the International Day of the Older Persons at State House Entebbe, where I urged the elderly to modernise and learn to preserve their wealth. Many older people start fragmenting their wealth to distribute it to their children instead of using modern inheritance methods such as shareholding.
Our aim as government is to ensure that wealthy older people maintain their wealth, while those who have none are supported to obtain it through available government programmes. Therefore, we shall tailor a PDM programme for the elderly after concluding our financial engagements in the AFCON, which has taken a lot of money.
Another issue facing older people is that they are most affected by medical conditions and expenses. It is, therefore, my view that the government should sponsor and recruit a geriatrician in each district to offer free and consistent medical support to the elderly.
Okay, and assuming that he actually wrote the letter, his own statement says, “As long as you are here, you are safe.” This would indicate that, from his own account, the place was not the torture chamber that some people are making it out to be. It was not some dungeon. His words describe it as a place where a person was safe.
