The case of Yasin Sekitoleko Machete.
He is counting on us to speak for him. He is fading away in the cells due to tramped up charges.
If not us/you, then who?
His mother is slowly losing hope. We are all the hope there’s.
Let’s raise awareness for/on his behalf. #FreeMacheteYasin #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners
Such a pleasure co-hosting Mr President @HEBobiwine
Thank you for speaking and reenergising us. For recognising online bloggers, vlogers and activists for constantly speaking truth to power and remaining steadfast despite the backlash they sometimes get.
A huge thank you to the leaders and organisers for making this happen - on our day (women’s day). We need to do this more often. Until next time

@mwafrika_nana @mutakissemmy I hear you but boycotting elections means the dictator can create controlled opposition and squeeze us even more. Currently with majority in parliament for example, he has been able to get away with a lot. I am hoping that by filling up positions they’re is a strategy to topple
@KabaleMk@mkainerugaba Never. The leading language in the country is Luganda then English then Swahili. Luganda makes sense since it’s centrally located and rhymes with Uganda. No amount of dictatorship can change that. Bye
I think it’s high time we stopped being tolerant tolerant to these NRM stooges. They want to beat us, oppress and also determine how we should react.
It’s time we preach giving back what they give us. We will not change this country by being tolerant
@nbstv You mean like beating themselves to make you guys look bad?
You rely think Ugandans and damp and stupid.
This business of police talking nonsense so we can believe them needs to stop.
Soon will start doing our own policing like we did to identify the goons in JAT uniforms.
@mwafrika_nana@DailyMonitor Exactly. She is carrying a huge burden indeed. Single mum, special needs child, lack of exposure. One can only imagine what this young lady is going through.
@SpireJim The only way to fight back is through resilience. We all remember back in 2020 when they’d arrest anyone with a beret. Only a handful had them then. Today we have thousands in full outfit. I am even tempted to get myself one as a sign of defiance and push back.
