How can you participate in democracy's "battle of ideas" if you have no one to raise your politics in parliament?
Under PR, every Canadian would have the right to be heard in the House of Commons. #FreeYourVoice
Vaughan mayor Steven Del Duca has received endorsements from local politicians for his re-election bid:

PC MPPs

-Laura Smith (Thornhill)
More than 2 million Albertans cast ballots last federal election, yet only two MPs sit on government benches. It’s no surprise many Albertans feel politically sidelined.
Proportional representation corrects this distortion by aligning seats in the HoC with the popular vote.
Our political views are diverse. That's a good thing.
No one party speaks for the whole country, and our opinions cannot be reduced to a choice between two options.
It's time for a voting system that recognises this. It's time for Proportional Representation.
@BustingFakeInfo "If 92 per cent of voters in a riding are voting primarily for a party, and their elected MP then switches to a different party, it seems entirely fair to call that a subversion of the local democratic will." https://t.co/5phVGftZOx
With winner-take-all elections, only the largest group of voters gets representation. Everyone else gets nothing.
Proportional representation ends winner-take-all and ensures all voters have a voice.

I find it sad to see what’s happening under John Rustad’s leadership of the Conservative Party of BC.
According to @JasJohalBC Rustad actually had his MLAs’ personal phones checked in caucus, a level of paranoia and control you’d expect from David Eby, not from the man who promised open discussion and independent voices.
Rustad once said there would be no whipped votes and that Conservative MLAs would always put their constituents first. But behind closed doors, it’s a very different story. Dissent is silenced, discussion is shut down, and MLAs are expected to toe the line or face the consequences.
Meanwhile, David Eby is running one of the most incompetent governments in BC history, and yet, somehow, thanks to Rustad’s poor leadership and internal chaos, the BC Conservatives are still polling behind him.
What’s twice as frustrating is the MLA for my riding and MLAs like Bruce Banman ran on democratic principles and yet they now have become Rustad’s whipping boys. This is wrong.
British Columbians deserve a true right-of-center movement, one that stands for principles, accountability, and democracy within the party itself. Not another top-down outfit where loyalty to the leader matters more than loyalty to the people they serve. #bcpoli
In Ontario, Conservatives face two choices: obey Doug Ford or risk ridicule for speaking up.
That’s the trap of first-past-the-post.
Proportional representation would let different conservative voices win seats instead of being forced under one banner.

Canadian Conservatives don’t keep losing because of poor strategy or bad tactics. They fail because of baked-in structural barriers. The rules of the game are stacked against us.
In my new piece for @TheHubCanada, I propose 3 bold reforms to level the playing field and end a century of Liberal electoral dominance. #cdnpoli

The Conservatives face a political paradox: moderate and lose support on their right flank; or consolidate the right and lose support with moderates. They may be stuck in a one-for-one trade off. If so, the solution could lie in electoral reform.
My latest for @TheHubCanada.
Soooo, I’ve been thinking about my choice to vote PPC. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is the only option, has been the only option and I will never change my mind. Vote PPC to save Canada!
