@98_Voluntarios That's a great question. IMO, for a program like ours to have so few national award winners has always felt disrespectful to me. Al has always been the darling of the conf. I'm reaching, but could it stem from our rivalry in part?

@JoshBuice I think I understand the point you're making. There are NT Scholars who considered the reading of NT epistles publically as sermonic public speech. I'm just not sure that categorically ruling out reading a manuscript as nonsermonic is justified.
