WATCH NOW: A brand new animated video from Freedom Foundation that exposes the maze of confusing opt-out windows and ignored communications many public employees have to go through.
"Public employees deserve a real choice."
Schools exist to teach kids reading, writing, and math, not to spread political agendas. Teachers who want their classrooms back can start by opting out of the union and keeping more of their own paycheck.
Freedom Foundation is different for one reason: we are laser focused on a single goal. Day in and day out, our team works to defend the rights of public employees and defund corrupt government unions.
We love this work, and we know you do too. Thanks for standing with us. 🔥
This whole interview feels like a fever dream. It is 20 minutes of Verrett casting blame to everyone else, and then admitting that the biggest issue a union cares about is political organizing. It's absolutely shameful.
Liability insurance. Professional development free of DEI and left-wing bias. TFA CEO @RyanWalters_ told @glennbeck on @BlazeTV what good teachers get when they leave the union and join TFA.
Idaho just stopped using the state as a debt collector for the teachers' union, which means more money stays in teachers’ paychecks and less flows into the big union machine.
Our friends at the @MackinacCenter are keeping up the fight in Michigan, taking SEIU to court over its deceptive tactics. 👏🏻
Freedom Foundation canvassers were on the ground earlier this year talking with public employees about their union options. Now Mackinac is challenging SEIU’s efforts to skirt the safeguards that protect workers from coercion and deception.
Unions are supposed to bargain over pay and working conditions, not echo Tehran's talking points while actual Iranian teachers get locked up for demanding fair wages.
Teachers deserve fair pay, but more money will not fix our schools until we know how much is actually reaching the classroom instead of top-heavy administration.
🧵Your union already agrees with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
The IRGC, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, just wrote a 25-page letter to American voters weeks before the midterms. It calls the White House a “factory of lies” and claims “Death to America” is really just a prayer against Washington.
Most Americans will ignore it, but teachers' unions are bound to endorse much of it. In July, Randi Weingarten's American Federation of Teachers adopted a resolution demanding “an immediate end to the war with Iran" and called on the U.S. and Israel to halt military operations against them.
At the same convention, delegates passed a resolution blaming Israel for salary problems among teachers in Palestinian Authority territory.

We talk about teachers’ unions a lot because their corruption and proximity to vulnerable kids is deeply problematic. But we haven’t forgotten about other government unions like SEIU.
In an interview last week, SEIU’s president said she is "super incredibly proud of the $100 million our members have invested in this cycle," and that the goal of this election cycle is organizing and rallying support for Democrat allies.
Workers deserve better than a union boss who sees them as culture war foot soldiers. April Verrett, we’re not letting this one go.
BREAKING: SEIU President April Verrett admits her union’s top priority is political organizing and funding democrats. Calling it the "largest member-led political program in the history of our union."
When asked what SEIU is doing for the upcoming election cycle, Verrett says she is, "super incredibly proud of the $100 million our members have invested in this cycle. But even more than the money, I'm super proud of the 1 million of our members that have been activated across more than 30 states."
It is common sense, not bigotry, to reserve immigration to those who will embrace American culture and its principles and to deny entry to those who will not.
The Chicago Teachers Union’s event space hosted a Marxist, anti-Israel conference in July, where speakers praised the Oct. 7 attacks.
But a documentary on the sexual violence Hamas committed that day? Canceled two days before the screening.
When a union leader starts calling their opponents “barbarians” because of political disagreements, time to call out their true intentions: division and discord.
These stories are tragic, and we need to ask: How did this ideology take over our schools?
Answer: teachers’ unions, which protect bad teachers, fight parents who object to sexually explicit books, and push gender ideology on children as young as kindergarten. The evidence is everywhere.
— Staff at Algonquin Regional High School in Massachusetts facilitated a 15-year-old girl’s "transition" through after-school "counseling" they led her parents to believe was math help.
— A school psychologist in California's Arcadia Unified School District encouraged a young girl to "transition" instead of treating her depression — and when the girl's mother refused to go along with the school's scheme, she lost custody. Tragically, the young girl went on to die by suicide.
— Teachers at Buena Vista Middle School in California taught a young girl how to bind her breasts and referred to her using sex-rejecting pronouns — without telling her mother.
— A school counselor at the Great Salt Bay Community School in Maine gave a 13-year-old girl chest binders and instructed the girl to conceal it from her mother.
— Leon County School District in Florida created a "student support plan" to facilitate the "transition" of a middle school child, without notifying the child's parents.
— The California Department of Education led a concerted, illegal effort to pressure schools to hide gender "transitions" from parents.
— Public schools in Kansas City, Kansas, directed staff to develop "transition" plans for their students without parental knowledge or consent.
In case you missed it, last week we found an interview where SEIU President April Verrett boasts that her union is in the middle of the "largest member-led political program in the history of our union."
Is a union's job to serve its members and meet their workplace needs? Or is it to organize for one-sided, radical political gain? April Verrett seems to think it is the latter.
