Hacker Allegedly Releases Stolen Data from Okta in 2023 Data Breach

The data of 3,800 customer support users belonging to Okta has been allegedly leaked on a hacking forum.

"In September 2023, Okta, an IT service management company, suffered a data breach that led to the exposure of 3.8 thousand customer support users," writes the threat actor with the alias Ddarknotevil.

The allegedly leaked data includes User ID, First Name, Last Name, Username, Company Name, Company Title, Address, Time Zone ID, DST Flag, Phone: Office, Phone: Home, Phone: Cell, Default Email, Other Email(s), Security Parameter, Account Status, Last Login, Notes, Roles, Groups.

The confirmation or denial of these claims has yet to be verified.

Following Hunters International, Trigona #ransomware group claims to have compromised the company's data.

The attackers are demanding a ransom of $350,000

A sample of the leaked data has been published and the ransom deadline is set for the 11th of February, 2024.

Ausa had previously been targeted by the ransomware group #HuntersInternational, which on January 15, 2023, claimed to have exfiltrated 77.5 GB of data, including projects and users’ data of the company.

12K eBay User Credentials Exposed

Access credentials for nearly 12,000 eBay users have been freely leaked on a hacking forum, with passwords fully exposed.

Given that eBay has more than 135 million users, the likelihood of being affected by this leak is relatively low but not negligible.

Users are advised to proactively change their account credentials as a precautionary measure.
