PJAK Rejects Military Cooperation with the U.S.; "Washington Is Not Seeking Democracy"
Amid ongoing speculation about possible cooperation between Iranian Kurdish groups and the United States in a potential conflict with Iran, the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) has clearly rejected any form of military partnership with Washington.
In an interview, Rozerin Kemanger, the communications manager of the group's women's branch (KJAR), stated that the U.S. has no real intention of bringing democracy to the region and is instead acting based on its own interests.
Kemanger said, "From our perspective, neither the United States nor Iran has a real plan to ensure freedom for the Kurdish people." She described the current conflict as "a struggle between global capitalist powers and regional nation-states."
According to Kemanger, the United States entered the conflict not to defend people, but to protect energy routes and secure its own strategic interests.
Although analysts believe Kurdish groups have limited military capacity, PJAK is often seen as one of the more experienced groups in terms of modern warfare.
The group is mainly based in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, but it also claims to have an active presence inside Iran. Kemanger stated that their forces are "fully prepared to respond under different conditions" and are focused not only on military activities but also on organizing local communities, especially among women and youth.
As tensions rise, Iran and allied militias have carried out attacks against Kurdish groups. Kemanger said PJAK has taken necessary defensive measures, including strengthening its structures and training its forces.
On the political level, PJAK emphasizes the importance of unity among Kurdish parties. Recently, several Iranian Kurdish groups formed an alliance aimed at overthrowing the Iranian government and promoting Kurdish autonomy. Kemanger believes that "the regime fears Kurdish unity" and that such cooperation could play a key role in the future.
She described the current situation as "fragile and sensitive" and called for greater awareness among Kurds, as well as broader cooperation with other communities.
"Achieving democracy in Iran and freedom in Kurdistan is only possible through unity and strong alliances," she concluded.

We Don’t Wait for Permission —
Iranians Must Lead Their Own Democratic Change
Ground attack, not yet
Rûken Nexede, the senior commander of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), told reporters from France24 (@France24_en) in the mountains of Kurdistan that his party is ready to confront the Islamic Republic of Iran and defend the rights of the Kurdish people by any means, even without help from the United States or other countries.
Nexede said, “What matters most to us is changing the current situation into a democratic Iran. We are not waiting for permission from any country; the people of Iran must play the main role in changing their own country.”
PJAK has not decided on a ground attack and continues its military activities cautiously, but remains ready for any potential threat.
Nexede also emphasized that the ultimate goal of her party is not just to support the Kurdish people, but to achieve a free and democratic Iran where all ethnic groups, including Kurds, can enjoy their rights.

Coalition of Kurdish Parties in Iran Aims to Build a Democratic Future
Fuat Beritan, a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), said that the new Coalition among Kurdish parties in Iran was not formed only to oppose the Islamic Republic, but also to lay the foundations for a democratic future in Iran and Kurdistan.
Beritan stressed that this unity is one of the most important historical efforts by Kurdish political forces to create a common political will and represent the freedom demands of the Kurdish people in Iran. According to him, the main goal of the alliance is to organize the capacities of different Kurdish parties and guide the struggle to achieve democratic rights and to participate in shaping Iran’s political future.
Regarding rumors about the start of a ground operation by Kurdish forces, he said the situation in the region is very sensitive and complex. He noted that recent developments show the conflict is no longer limited to Iran and has taken on a regional dimension. However, he emphasized that Kurdish Coalition forces are prepared for different political and military scenarios, while their main goal is to protect the people and make the right decisions at the right time.
Beritan also explained that the alliance is working to create joint mechanisms in political, diplomatic, and military areas so that the capabilities of different parties can be used in a coordinated way.
He added that this unity is not limited to the struggle against the Islamic Republic. It can also serve as a guarantee for democratic management and stability after political changes.
According to him, while the alliance focuses on the demands of the Kurdish people in Kurdistan, it also supports the creation of a free, democratic, and non-discriminatory Iran for all citizens and considers cooperation with other democratic forces across the country as part of its political responsibility.

PJAK Calls on the People of Rojhelat for Unity and Preparedness
The Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) in a statement called on the people to strengthen their spirit of unity and social cooperation, form local committees for community defense and services, and be ready to face the consequences of the war and the policies of the Islamic Republic.
The statement urged young people to take a leading role, participate in defense and political training, and become a protective shield for the community. It also encouraged people and their families to stay away from the regime’s military and security centers to stay safe from potential attacks.
PJAK also asked activists who have distanced themselves from the party to reconnect with its ranks and take part in political and social activities again. The party emphasized that overcoming this difficult phase is only possible through the unity and cooperation of all parts of society.
The four key points PJAK requested from the people are:
1- Unity and Social Organization: People should strengthen cooperation and solidarity and form local committees for services, defense, and community logistics.
2- Role of Young People: Young people should take the lead in protecting the community, participate in defense and political training, and become a protective shield for the people.
3- Avoiding Military Centers: People and families should stay away from the regime’s military and security centers to protect themselves from potential attacks.
4- Return of Former Activists: Those who have left the party’s ranks should return to political and social activities and reconnect with the party.
PJAK emphasized that overcoming this difficult stage is only possible through unity and cooperation across all parts of society.

Eva Maria Michelmann, a German freelance journalist and Ahmed Polad, a Kurdish reporter, went missing as STG forces took control of Raqqa, the Free Media Association of Rojava (YRA) said.
PJAK Leadership Member Stresses Kurdish Unity in Iran’s Future Developments
Rêwar Awdanan, a member of the leadership committee of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), said in a special interview with Roj News Agency @soranirojnews that Kurdish unity is very important in the current sensitive situation in the Middle East, especially after the Coalition formed between five parties from Rojhelat.
At the beginning of his remarks, he said that a kind of global war is taking place, centered in the Middle East, and the major powers that control the region will be forced to make fundamental changes. In this situation, an opportunity has been created for the Kurdish people to establish their political position in a new Middle East.
Awdanan added that the guarantee for protecting the Kurdish people is national unity. If the Kurds do not want to face tragedies like those of the past 100 years, they must strengthen their internal unity. In this way, political parties will be forced to adopt a national discourse and act according to the interests of the Kurdish people.
He also said that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not remain as it is and will have to change. He stated that if the Kurdish people remain silent about the killings taking place in the cities of Rojhelat, then any regime that comes to power in Tehran in the future will repeat the same actions. Therefore, the fate of the Kurds is one and cannot be separated. If this becomes the main principle of their political approach, they can protect themselves and develop a clear strategy. Any nation that is divided cannot have a strong strategy.
In another part of the interview, Awdanan said that the people supported the unity of the political parties, calling it an important step and a new beginning. Through this unity, a common strategy for Rojhelat has been formed, which can define the Kurdish position during changes in Iran. He claimed that some Iranian opposition groups have a negative attitude toward the Kurds and Kurdish parties and have even threatened to attack PJAK and other Kurdish parties if they take power. He said that this unity is the best response to such views and the best way to protect Kurdish achievements in the future of Iran. He added that they seek to promote a democratic republic in Iran where the Kurdish people will have a recognized place.
In conclusion, he said that any party that tries to use the people as a tool will be rejected by them. The same applies to East Kurdistan. If democracy and people’s self-administration are not at the center of political activities, those parties will not succeed. He emphasized that if the Kurdish people continue to be active in politics and if the unity between political forces serves the people’s demands, then under any future political system in Iran, the Kurds will be able to secure their rights and achievements.
