Our next freestyle artist spotlight is Joey Kid!
Joey's successful freestyle career has three phases. First, he started with the legendary @GeorgeLaMond and his group Loose Touch, along with KenDog and Eddie Melendez.
Then, his song “Counting The Days” got him signed to Atlantic records. After Atlantic Records, Joey joined up with C&C Music Factory, made up of @ClivillesRobert and David Cole, and became a part of Trilogy, joining @DuranRamos and Angel De Leon.

He had the privilege to work with @ClivillesRobert and David Cole, and he ripped the scene with the song “Good Time”.
From Soul Food to Double Cross to his current show, The Family Business on BET, he is an American treasure that we are so proud to highlight!
He and Sa-Fire are married, and they both uplift the Latin hip-hop and Freestyle Music genre to new levels of excellence!

Multi platinum producer, artist, songwriter, and music arranger @KennyDiaz23 is this week's Freestyle spotlight! Kenny “Kendu” Diaz got his start in hip hop and R&B producing hits for Genuwine, Tanto Metro, Devante, and many others.
His talent, good looks, and swag got him an audition with Trilogy and he became a member. In 1992, he received the prestigious BMI new songwriter of the year award.
Kenny now has the label Londinium and is paying homage to Trilogy with the current group TRL.
He was also co-creator & co-host of the show Mi Gente/My People with Freddy Correa. It aired nationally on NBC in the late 90s.

When CNR left Trilogy, Angel De Leon carried him on. The new group was now Duran Ramos, J.R. Mansanet, and Angel. Eventually, JR left the group and Kenny Diaz stepped in.
Angel is an award winning producer in the music advertising world for both the general & Latino markets and is currently a member of TRL, under the label Londinium.
JR is continuing to make music with the new group TRL under the label Londinium, which consists of several of the original Trilogy members & Freestyle music legends known as The League of Heroes.

@JRMansanet is one of the original members of the Latin Hip-Hop/Freestyle music sensation Trilogy with @DuranRamos and CNR. A singer, songwriter, photographer, and Bronx native, JR made his mark with Trilogy, who were known as the Bad Boys of Freestyle.
Trilogy's first single with Jackie Jack Records was the hit #RedHot. Eventually, they released their second single #LatinLove on the Prism and PKO label. Their second song combines Latin and English lyrics, with electric guitars.

This week's artist spotlight is @DuranRamos! Duran was formerly 1/2 of Take Two with the late CNR, and then he became 1/3 of Trilogy alongside CNR and @JRMansanet.
Duran went on to work with the Grammy award-winning international sensation C+C Music Factory with Robert Clivilles and David Cole. He was the only member of Trilogy that stayed with the group from the beginning, working with all 6 other members.
CNR, known as "C" and formerly of Take Two with Duran Ramos, formed Trilogy along with J.R. Mansanet. They were one of the pioneer groups of Latin hip-hop.
A poet who turned his poems into songs, he was one of the original freestyle artists who incorporated Latin lyrics into their American songs.
