Listen to Jathedar of Akal Takht. He issued fatwa that Holi is banned in Anandpur Sahib. Anyone who sells colors to Sikhs or plays with 'em shall be punished!!
Are we living in a Banana Republic or under Taliban?!
BJP don’t repeat the mistakes of 80s. Punjab has suffered enough!!
Very sad day for Sikhs and India. Everyone is playing politics and Sikhs will have to pay the price for this. Time for sikh silent majority to stand up.
It seems separatist Khalistani leaders are allowed to speak of separatism in India but writing Khalistan on walls (still illegal) by youth will attract UAPA?
Can anyone please put a light on this, who is this government taking for a fool? or is it coward enough to only enforce law on common helpless citizens, while separatist leaders propagate the idea unhinged from Golden Temple?
Tag central government or state, I dont care to the point this whole Khalistan is nonsense sore, that needs to shut up for good, so that youth of Punjab can focus on productive endeavours.
Why would one clean with brooms. what sort of 'pakhand' is this. who was doing this ehen real guru Nank used to travel streets of Bharat. 'Padhe likhe anpadh'.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and his puppets will not condemn #Pakistani grooming gangs in the UK. If they speak out against them, their Pakistani bosses may not be pleased.
Indo-Canadians have taken to the streets in Brampton to protest the growing threat of Khalistani extremism in Canada and the rising hate targeting Hindu Canadians!
Hindustan Zindabad
Khalistan Murdabad!
"This is not India’s gangland" Harman, this is Canada's gangland. India has sent multiple extradition requests to Canada for the past 4 decades and Canada has never honoured them.
Canada received 39 extradition requests for Talwinder Singh Parmar. Ask @sjlazars who lost his entire family because of that monster.
India has repeatedly asked Canada to extradite Lawrence Bishnoi gang members by sharing their locations too but not one gangster got sent back. Source: (https://t.co/5f9pSe4N0R)
Stop passing the buck on India and call it what it is. This is a Canadian crime infestation and your mental gymnastics will not change the reality. Canadian politicos are solely responsible for this mess. All of you know the reality but yeah keep pretending it is something else.
A Canadian gangster got caught in Punjab recently. Wonder why this never happens in Canada? Maybe too many skeletons lie in the closet?
Karamveer Singh, 27, of Brampton, has been arrested by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in connection with a staggering 187 kilograms of cocaine—carrying a street value of $23.3 million. These are not just criminal charges; this is a direct assault on the honor and integrity of the global Sikh community. The involvement of some Punjabis in the drug trade—particularly in collaboration with Mexican cartels at the highest levels—is now widely known to both law enforcement and the local public.
For how long will we continue to silently watch the image of our Sikh Panth be dragged through the mud by individuals who betray our Sikh values for greed?
It is time for the highest temporal authority of our faith—the Akal Takhat Sahib—to act decisively. I humbly but firmly urge the Jathedar Sahib:
Excommunicate any Sikh individual proven to be involved in the drug trade from the Sikh Panth. No exceptions. No delays. No more silence.
My repeated appeals to past Jathedars have been consistently ignored. How many more headlines must shame us globally before our religious leadership wakes up to its duty?
This is not a request. This is a demand for justice, rooted in the very foundations of Sikhi—truth, discipline, and righteousness. Let us protect our next generation and uphold the dignity of Guru Nanak’s message. Enough is enough.

fully agree with this sentiment. I urge all sikhs to start expressing their opinions. silence of the majority is not acceptable. It will come back to hurt the silent majority of the sikhs.
Appeal to Canadian Sikhs. Please don't engage in anti-India rhetoric because of Canadian citizenship. Please think how your activities affect fellow Sikhs in India🇮🇳? Our Gurus paid Supreme sacrifices to earn the respect we enjoy today. Please do that damage it. @SGPCAmritsar 🙏
One case that hasn't received the media attention it deserves is the murder of Kanchan Kumari in Bathinda.
She used to post videos in revealing clothes on Instagram, something that, whether we like it or not, has become fairly common these days.
Amritpal Singh Mehron, a self-styled moral crusader and radical figure who leads a group called Qaum De Rakhe, initially threatened her to stop. When she didn’t comply, he strangled her to death with two accomplices. Police are also investigating a possible sexual assault angle. Meanwhile, Mehron has fled, reportedly to the UAE or beyond.
What’s worse, the Head Granthi of Akal Takht Sahib has publicly supported him.
Now, like many of you, I don’t endorse this trend of seeking views through obscenity. But that does not justify vigilante killings. This Taliban-style justice must be condemned unequivocally, or one day, it will knock on your own door.
Given that Mehron has backing from influential community figures, I doubt he will face any consequences. We’ve seen this before: no one was punished for the brutal lynching during the farmers’ protests, nor for the killings inside Gurudwaras over alleged sacrilege. Most likely, from UAE Mehron will flee to Canada, claim political persecution, get asylum, and years later, be seen protesting outside Indian embassies, ironically portraying himself as the victim of state injustice.
Singer Mika Singh condemned the killing of Kanchan Kumari (Kamal) by Amritpal Singh Mehron and his associates. He extended support to Harjeet Singh Rasulpur, saying he stands with the truth and is ready to help him in every possible way. @MikaSingh
Enough Is Enough: Violence in the Name of Morality Is Cowardice, Not Courage
The brutal murder of social media influencer Kanchan Kumari (also known as Kamal Kaur) in Punjab at the hands of Nihang Amritpal Singh Mehron and his associates—who shamelessly released a video claiming responsibility—is not just horrifying; it is an affront to the very principles that Sikhism stands for.
Let me be absolutely clear: I may or may not agree with Kanchan Kumari’s social media content—but that is completely irrelevant. In a civilized, democratic society, we have laws, institutions, and forums to express disagreement—not cold-blooded executions carried out under the false banner of cultural or religious protection.
What deeply disturbs me is the calculated cruelty with which these so-called “warriors” gained her trust, lured her into a vehicle, physically assaulted her, accessed her personal data, and ultimately murdered a defenseless woman—all under the pretense of “moral correction.” If these men believed they were serving the Panth, they chose the most shameful path possible—targeting the daughter of a poor, financially struggling family instead of confronting the real challenges facing our community.
This was not “maryada or Sodha” This was murder. It was terrorism cloaked in religion. And now, the man who orchestrated it all—Amritpal Singh Mehron—has fled to the UAE, abandoning his co-accused and the devastated family he left behind. That is not the act of a warrior. It is the act of a coward.
What Amritpal Singh Did Is a Disgrace to Sikhism
No individual, sect, or self-proclaimed Nihang has the authority to act as judge, jury, and executioner. Amritpal Singh Mehron’s actions mock the very spirit of the Khalsa, founded by Guru Sahib to defend the innocent, not to silence women through violence. His claims of acting in spiritual service are nothing more than extremist justification for criminal behavior.
Sikhism Teaches Courage with Compassion—Not Cowardice with Cruelty
Our Gurus stood against tyranny with honor, humility, and strength—never through ambush or the murder of defenseless individuals. To use the sacred name of Sikhism to justify such an act is not only shameful, it is unforgivable.
Sikhism is about protecting, uplifting, and empowering, not about punishing women for their presence on social media. Let us not allow rogue elements to hijack our faith and turn it into a weapon of fear.
The Rule of Law Must Be Swift and Uncompromising
The Bathinda Police have confirmed that Amritpal Singh fled the country hours after the murder. He played executioner and then ran like a fugitive. He must be extradited immediately and tried for first-degree murder, along with every co-accused who participated in this crime.
We commend the swift and determined work of the Punjab Police, particularly my former district Bhatinda Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amneet Kondal and her team, for acting with urgency, professionalism, and precision. Their efforts led to the immediate arrest of three out of the four accused, and the identification of Amritpal Singh Mehron as the primary conspirator. Their work has restored faith in the justice system and sent a powerful message: no one is above the law.
Wake Up, Punjab. Wake Up, Sikh Diaspora.
We’ve seen where this path leads—Taliban-style justice, honor killings, and silencing dissent with violence. If we don’t condemn this now, we risk becoming the very thing we have always stood against. Sikhism is a faith of strength, not suppression. Of dialogue, not death. Of seva, not slaughter.
To every young Sikh, to our religious leadership, Jathedars, Nihang organizations, human rights groups, scholars, and community leaders—this is your moment to stand up. Say it clearly and without hesitation: no one speaks for the Panth by shedding innocent blood—especially that of a defenseless woman.
Let this not become just another news headline. Let this be a turning point—a line drawn firmly between faith and fanaticism, between maryada and murder.
We demand justice. We demand accountability. And we demand that Amritpal Singh Mehron be brought back from UAE to India to face the full force of the law.

Nothing can be more shameful than calling the so-called Yoddhas’ fight against the IndianArmy from the premises of SriHarmandirSahib as a “Moment of Pride”.
What finally led to the
destruction of the community in every sense was in fact the “Moment of Shame”. Widows Colony in Delhi epitomises that shame.😔
