@BIG_SGT_D Taking your story at face value I can think you and Anthony both got raw deals for different reasons. It's not hard to want justice for everyone.
@Seattlecfgirl@drterrysimpson He's right about this though, and every person on the ballot has representatives watching those rejected ballots, so if your candidate isn't specifically bringing it up ๐คท๐ฟโโ๏ธ
A hallmark of modern conservatism is the belief that everyone sees the world the same as you, but takes different political positions from you for personal gain.
@LA_DOTr@nithyavraman@mattyglesias This reads like a light version of Pratt's campaign. There are two conversations in LA. One is "What do we do about the Homeless?" The other is "How do we keep me in my LA home?"
@JoeConchaTV Pratt said he would leave the city if he didn't win. Regardless of circumstance, any city is better off not being run by someone that's going to leave if they don't get to be Mayor.
@E_Barcohana Honestly, that you don't understand the nature of this election says a lot about why R's don't win much here.
This election was rich people concerned about homeless people in/near their enclaves vs. everyone else worried about their next rent increase and Cost of living.
@thedarkhorsepod The problem is that one side would throw out an election because of one instance of fraud, so they put a lot of energy into seeing fraud everywhere thus wasting everyone's time and making them numb to actual issues.
@reporterliz CD5 looks very gerrymandered, and a lot of it voted Pratt actually. I have a theory related to SFH zoning, but the data isn't there yet...
