Since 2000, over 380 Southern Baptist leaders have been convicted of sex crimes involving more than 700 victims all while SBC leaders covered for abusers and silenced survivors.
But women preaching and pastoring is the real problem? What a joke.
The SBC (Southern Baptist Convention) is a denomination created so that slave owners could become missionaries. Their very foundation, the root of the entire system, is vile. And now they switch their focus to controlling women. And all the while, they ignore the rampant sexual abuse within their churches. Alas, that too, is part of their disrespect and mistreatment of God's daughters.
The first passage of the Mohler amendment, further limiting the roles that women are "allowed" to serve in within SBC churches, is not surprising. In fact, I believe that what is occurring is a great winnowing. The Holy Spirit is separating the wheat from the chaff, and moving His sheep out and into other churches - churches that more closely follow and resemble Christ. When a church focuses on power for a few (in this case, men), it has left its call to be the Light of the world, exchanging the light of Christ for the power of darkness, and forgetting their own roles as servants.
As sad as this is, God will use it for good. Grace and peace to all who are feeling the call of the Spirit to move on. It is time. Any organization based on a false foundation is bound to fall.

“Christianity has died many times and risen again; for it had a God who knew the way out of the grave.”

Hamas cowards and rapists starved and kept him underground for over 500 days and murdered his *entire* family.
Other hostages were paraded as propaganda and Palestinians cheered for that depravity.
Where is the collective outrage on college campuses over this?
They told us Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton couldn’t lead because they were “too emotional.”
Meanwhile, we just watched a level-10 MAGA masculinity crisis unfold live on TV.
Generations of American patriots, from our revolution onward, have fought for the principles Zelenskyy is risking his life to defend. But today, Donald Trump and JD Vance attacked Zelenskyy and pressured him to surrender the freedom of his people to the KGB war criminal who invaded Ukraine. History will remember this day— when an American President and Vice President abandoned all we stand for.

I just want to pay for a product one time (and only one time), know that it’s going to work flawlessly, press 0 to speak to an operator if I need help, and otherwise be left alone and treated with some small measure of human dignity, if that’s not too much to ask anymore.
