A good founder is able to push through alot of pain, and financial pressure increases this pain and thus pushes you to be a better founder. It can be part of your journey, it's not a bad thing. I've put myself in a bad financial situation many times by going all in. If you are not willing to go all in, do you even believe in your business?
Customer didn't trust the other quotes for their custom app, so they asked us. Built it in 5 days. Others are still trying to charge 100K for this stuff 😅 AI is coming for these old boys...
@BraydenWilmoth Yea I did this for 20 tools the past 3 months. Last week one of my customers at Nodge replaced a 20K/year too, now just 50 a month and little maintenance. When we get AI to do Ops the whole maintenance question is gone too.. I even see erp vendors losing to builds more often now
If writing code by hand is dead, no amount of AI is resurrecting low-code. 🫠
I realized this last weekend after a long coding session with high-code, low-code and AI. This is my last quarter where I have to do some low-code, as we will fully migrate away from our last big application in Q1 2027.
Writing code by hand makes no more sense to me economically, and low-code even less. But sometimes momentum forces you to stick to existing tooling for just a little longer than you wish. Its a fate I have accepted for this quarter, as we need to deliver new features first for some new large customers.
Yeah, these tools might stick some AI on top of it or open up through an MCP. Do some rebranding while theyre at it... The abstraction layer might help you understand the code, but my agent does that better anyway. Its just extra information and mess that agents have to deal with.
Why pay big money for limitations and a lack of speed? And its never gonna be sovereign if you care about that.
Cant wait to be done with this migration myself.
