I like Cori and what AIPAC did to her was obscene but why is recovering electoral office being treated as the culmination of movement politics here? I first heard her campaign relaunch when she spoke at an African diaspora conference I presented at in STL last yr & I remember thinking…hmm another congressional campaign? 😭

Like she’s a grassroots organizer from Ferguson! She saw the limits of U.S. Congress firsthand under Biden. The constraints are only more severe now. Couldn’t movement capacity be directed toward translating that experience into stronger strategies outside national office than simply returning to it? Ijs if she doesn’t win, that shouldn’t be confused w/a defeat of the movements that produced her.
