@undid125150@Shadzey1 And bandages, safety pins and scissors for the bandages, eye pads, disposable gloves would probably be a good idea, antiseptic wipes. Anything that needs an advanced first kit needs professional medical attention from the on-site team. Coachella isn't a safe place to get injured!
@undid125150@Shadzey1 It literally says "advanced first aid kits". Basic first aid kits are not banned. Advanced first aid kits are banned *for festival-goers* - if someone does get shot and a rando says not to worry, I have a tourniquet, then that person may lose the limb unnecessarily!
@MemeTheVan@PaulCockshott What is the service that the baristas provide that is distinct from "performing labour on things to transform them into something that holds more value"? Is it producing the coffee to order? Working on already processed materials?
@oscarwildesex haven't been to church in years but instantly recognised the organ music and couldn't rest until I figured out what it was (crown him with many crowns)
@riskoriented @sculperjr @Jesse_Brenneman@MrShmeebs Anti-fascists have been violently resisting fascism since the 1920s. Did you not read up on this when you joined the movement?
@GadSaad could you post your thoughts on targeted babies? would it be a tragedy for them to die in an airstrike. perhaps the baby was high-ranking in hamas.
@jabarnes2006@58isthenew40@MollyJongFast 1.7% of the world's population, or 136 million people; in the US it's the equivalent of Minnesota. Not all of them will face this kind of challenge, but it's common enough, and potentially harmful enough when it happens, that this research is useful.
@jabarnes2006@58isthenew40@MollyJongFast If someone with XXY chromosomes needs any kind of treatment that's different for men and women, what does that mean for them? That's why we "trans the mice", to understand better what biological sex *is* and how it affects medical care.
@jabarnes2006@58isthenew40@MollyJongFast I never mentioned transgender people, I'm talking about intersex people, who have conditions that place them outside of the typical categories of biological sex. The most well-known is being born with atypical genitals, but I mentioned others above which are also intersex.
@58isthenew40@jabarnes2006@MollyJongFast This is obviously pretty important for the (UN-estimated) 1.7% of the population who don't fall into standard categories of biological sex (which can be any reason from hormone disorders such as PCOS, genetic variation such as Klinefelter syndrome, or nonstandard genitals).

Using this, they can test whether a specific trait is more correlated with the presence or absence of a Y chromosome, with a specific sex hormone, with a specific set of gonads, or a mixture of the above.
