Yes, Jasper is a national park. Yes, the federal government controls it.
However, it's still in Alberta. The GOC can not deploy the CAF without the province requesting it under Aide to Civil Power. Hope this clears things up. See Section VI of the National Defense Act.

When my daughter was 18 months old, we went on a flight together. She cried nonstop. I was anxious, overwhelmed, and pregnant with twins (I didn’t know it yet, but I was sick). Utterly defeated, I started crying when I couldn’t calm my toddler.

And suddenly, a man wearing a business suit asked if he could hold her. He sang songs and walked back and forth on the plane for almost an hour. He had the first iPad I had ever seen and started playing the Lion King for her. In short, he was an angel who chose kindness rather than rebuking me for being unable to calm my own child.

Flying with children is already hard enough. I can’t imagine thinking a penalty for a crying baby should be enforced.
