We continue to support this victim in various capacities, as this violent act has caused him numerous levels of trauma. We are not naming the victim but have been permitted to release our video and photos of his injuries. 5/7

KC LEAP is in contact with the victim. We have assisted him in retaining counsel and referred him to the Excessive Use of Force Unit of the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, which is investigating the incident. 4/7

The victim was severely concussed and lay unresponsive for several minutes. This act of violence was completely unprovoked.

The victim was taken from the scene by ambulance and suffers long-term effects from his head injury. 3/7

The @kcpolice perpetrated violence on an innocent witness who was present when KCPD killed Zachary Garrard at 55th and Prospect.

This victim was picked up and body slammed on his head while in handcuffs by a KCPD officer yet to be identified. 2/7
