This is one of those things where Oz answers the question as honestly & diplomatically as possible but some PC fans will still be cheezed.
I'm happy he's looking forward to it.
Rooting for him except against PC.
My biggest problem with this is having the tournament be fixed in Dayton (for half the games).
I know the fine folks in Dayton are starved for good basketball, but that's their problem, not mine.
Move it around if it's going to have that many teams.
Spread the love.
Sources: The NCAA has initiated the final steps to expand the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments to 76 teams. The expansion is on track to be formalized in the upcoming weeks, with mid-May as the target. The 76-team tournaments begin next year. https://t.co/2ZGUjZR0uJ
@HuskyTurned@Lexaphus I might be in the minority here, but I don't wait til the play in games are over before picking.
I almost view it as a bonus. Like I get TEXAS and XAVIER. One of those mofos is sure to win.
I don't think expanding the tournament is that big of a deal. Unless a Big East team is in the opening round I'll probs skip it like I do w/the first 4.
If a Big East team is in it then I have another game or two to watch.
Feels worse than it is.
@huskyslide95 I understand that possibility, and it'd be frustrating, but I do think the extra spots will be split around. I don't think they are specifically earmarked for SEC/Big10.
I could actually see it helping the Big East
@Lexaphus I don't think anyone will say that
People will fill out a bracket Thursday morning in a haste or be content to fill it out Sunday w/o knowing who advances from the opening round
@segswinebro Not sure I agree with that.
Could argue a bigger bubble actually increases meaningful late season games.
I just don't see a minimal expansion like this as a big deal. If they went to 96 or similar then I'd be more up in arms.
