@franfraschilla Also - I would find that incredibly shortsighted and sensitive to dismiss me over a pretty generic tweet asking reasonable questions. If this is truly the issue, I’m glad I’m not working with Luke.
@franfraschilla Grant was dismissed March 8. Murray hired March 26. During the time between I engaged fans with pros and cons of different candidates. Gallo / Larranega / Murray / Konkol / Olen to name a few. If this tweet was why I was going to be dismissed, wouldn’t it have been in March?
Kevin was extremely helpful to myself and @WZBCSports this past spring during our baseball coverage, including lending us the use of some of his equipment.
Enjoyed chatting with him when our coverage overlapped this spring and hope he finds a landing spot soon.
@ChrisVogel26@WZBCSports Chris it was a pleasure getting to know you and share some of my experience with you last year! I would emphatically suggest you apply for the position. The program would be really fortunate to gain your radio acumen and passion! Let me know if I can help you in any way!
@chestnuthillave So having an open debate with fans on Twitter about a vacant head coaching position with pros and cons of potential candidates is grounds for a career to be ended? Says the guy who hides behind Reggie Jackson? Sure pal. If this is true, this situation is even worse then I thought
There are plenty of things an incoming coach should have a say over, but this ain’t one of them.
Radio guys have nothing to do with the on-court product. They’re ambassadors for the program and probably people you should lean on as a new coach to bridge the gap with fans.
Easily the hardest tweet of my career. Love you @JoshMaurerPxP and sorry it had to end this way 💔
Huge thanks to Mike Winn, Josh Maurer, and Danya Abrams for supporting and empowering me over the last 13+ years.
I will always be an Eagle 🦅 #WeAreBC
Really bummed to see this for two of the best in the business.
Josh’s persistence throughout his career is a great example to all.
Kevin is Mr. Versatility. Can do it all. And a Plymouth guy who’s been good to me for a long time.
Any organization would be lucky to have them!
Kevin & Josh are incredible and such a joy to listen to & work w/ day in & day out. I got to work w/ them for 3 yrs, and I’ve never laughed harder or smiled wider than when working a game w/ them or sharing a drink when they came to town.
@coachnchaos@JoshMaurerPxP@dabrams24 We both will miss seeing you at Conte. We had some tough years, but always tried to make the broadcast undefeated! On a personal note, it was a true joy working alongside your kids and watching them grow as managers!
@cds0925@TrevorHass@JoshMaurerPxP@dabrams24 It wasn't our decision Cheryl! You were so so kind to us for so many years. It will never be forgotten and thank you so much for listening and enjoying the broadcast!
