@BruceBartlett No, the Smoot-Hawley Tariff did not directly trigger the 1929 stock market crash. The crash occurred in October 1929, while the tariff was signed into law in June 1930. However, debates over the tariff in 1929–1930 may have contributed to economic uncertainty.
@VitalikButerin@pourteaux Culture is a habitat. It is habits that dynamically form consensus. The tree ring analogy abstracts the result of cultural habits as grow rings. But reality isn't this positivistic. Instead of linearly growing outward, it is more akin to patterns in sand drawn by ebbs and flows.
@EldarDRM It is underrated. But still there is no/few client/wallet diversification, which is arguably a very important metric. Low Network effects. And although the hardware requirements are sane, the recommended connection is still 1GB/s compared to e.g. 25Mbit/s for Ethereum.
@ZaStocks Those "Robots, autonomous cars, AI agents, etc.", are still pure speculation. AGI is still snake oil. And most businesses still struggle to find a use case for LLMs – in fact, LLMs still are an overhead for the workforce. Expectations are completely ridiculous.
@AIHexPulse@benjamincowen "The real question is: is the community still here? Correct. Are we still earning trustless yield with no middleman? Correct. Has HEX had 100% uptime? Also correct."
This applies to thousands of shitcoins😂
