What is DSDJ? As a sign-centric journal, we are a bimodal and bilingual publication catering to sign languages and their Deaf communities.
We’re excited about our upcoming issue and welcome YOU to join us in this process! How? Check this out!

To my dear non-signing friends out there, I know you mean well, but please don’t cast opinions on whether an interpreter you see on television is good or bad. Leave that to the native signers. Thank you! 🙏
ASL is sadly the lingua franca for many sign language users around the world because of well developed resources that are readily available online. It is our role to make sure that other sign languages are equally valued, supported and be mindful when borrowing other languages.
Do you wait for a call back or stay on hold? Missed calls are the norm for deaf VRS users, it shouldn’t be.
I made this video while on hold for 55 minutes 😤
