Campaign to save Harris Park. 12 Grade II listed building, war memorial (formerly an orphanage and school) incl. cricket field, within Fulwood Conservation Area
We are delighted to see @prestoncouncil ensuring Listed Buildings in the City are repaired to preserve their heritage. This sets a very clear picture to all developers in our city of their responsibilities in owning Listed buildings. @thevicsoc @SAVEBrit @ScarisbrickRept
So sad seeing Freddie and his dad with the same hope as us of bring the cricket ground back to public use with one big hurdle in the way. π @flintoff11@bbc#FieldOfDreams#saveharrispark
Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams - Freddie Flintoff is determined to prove that anyone can play cricket, whatever their background. @BBCOne Tuesday 5th July with #PostProduction from @filmsat59@flintoff11
Freddie Flintoffβs field of dreams, what a watch! Giving young lads from Preston hope. Sometimes all we need is someone to believe in us and give us a chance ππ»

Most of my Saturday afternoons in the summer were spent here as a child. Watching my Dad play cricket for Dutton Forshaws/Harris Park. Would be so sad to see it redeveloped, as its a fantastic pitch, set in lovely surroundings.
Itβs so sad that the field where Freddie learnt to play is the subject of a Planning Application to develop houses. Local people would love to see the pitch back in use and enjoyed by everyone again. #saveharrispark#grassroots@prestoncouncil@GrahamLiver@Sport_England
@GrahamLiver We heard you chatting about the cricket pitch in Preston where Freddie used to play. Weβre campaigning to save this special place. #FieldOfDreams#BBC @bbcradiolancashire
Weβd love your support in trying to save Harris Park and the cricket ground from becoming a housing development. Preston is short of cricket pitches and it would be incredible to see children and adults enjoying the game there once more π. #saveharrispark
