Little-known fact: Registration Week for Salt Lake City School District is one of the busiest weeks of our year!
It means a lot of volunteer time doing a LOT of screening so we can help students get their vision needs met early on in the school year.

Recently we had the pleasure of screening 38 kiddos (and 1lucky dog) at the Kids Park in Stansbury. We appreciate those who make vision care a priority even when the kids are not in school.

Providing quality eye care is important to us, which often means seeing patients more than once. This is Shelali, who we have been seeing annually since he was in elementary school, and he just graduated high school! He and his family members are a joy to have in our clinic.

Did you know that wearable glasses first appeared as early as the 13th Century? If you wear corrective lenses of any kind, take a moment today to appreciate these life-changing inventions, because it's #NationalEyewearDay !

Spending time outside this weekend? Keep your kids' eyes in mind too! Children need sunglasses because the lenses in their eyes that filter out UV rays are still developing. Make sure they have the protection their young eyes need - all the cool kids are doing it. 😎

Pandemic conditions kept us out of senior centers for awhile, but we're baaaack! Last week we were happy to provide visual acuity and glaucoma screenings as well as free reading glasses to patrons of Kearns and Liberty senior centers.

Helpfulness definitely runs in this family! At a recent clinic Dr. Jarrod Davies taught his son how the autorefractor works so his son can help translate instructions to our Spanish-only patients. We're so grateful for our volunteer doctors and their families for their support.

It was our pleasure to attend the Community Health Fair hosted by @calvarysaltlakecity this weekend! Loved meeting so many congregation and community members as we provided screenings and reading glasses to attendees.

David was using the same pair of glasses for the past 13 years. His prescription is severe and glasses allow him access to at least some sight. It was our pleasure to meet such a resilient man, and to be able to help him get two new pair of glasses means the world to us.
