We’re thrilled to announce that @StMarys_NW1 has been awarded £639,064 from the Heritage at Risk Capital Fund. Thank you
@DCMS for making this fund available for heritage at risk that serves disadvantaged communities. And thank you @HistoricEngland for all your support.
The grant from @NatChurchTrust is such a blessing and will help us to secure the long-term future of our wonderful church. Come along and help us to celebrate the first 200 years on Monday!
Our #ChurchOfTheWeek, St Mary's in Somers Town, London, is on Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register. The poor condition of the 200-year-old building presents a safety risk that needs to be addressed so that the church can continue its vital work in the community.

Hard to believe we’re almost 200! The then Bishop of London, William Howley, consecrated St Mary’s on 11 May 1826. Let’s make the next year transformative.
Finally! The statue of St Anthony of Padua restored. Part of our mission is to preserve the heritage of St Pancras Housing, working with conservator Tiago Oliveira. The statue was commissioned from the sculptor Gilbert Bayes, known for the ‘Queen of Time’ clock outside Selfridges.
The Society, and others, spoke out against proposals to close and demolish St Mary's in Eversholt St. We are glad to see the church preparing for Easter. There are still challenges, but this is a reward to everyone who worked so hard. Our best wishes for Easter to all.
