🛴vs 🛴 injury accident —>San Francisco fire and medical responded to 5th and Townsend for the report of a scooter versus scooter injury accident where one of the scooter riders was found to have serious injuries. Video courtesy of the San Francisco fire department, public information officer @SFFDPIO Thank you!
This might be my favorite video of 2025. I can't decide which moment is my favorite part though, between 1) the satisfaction of seeing instant karma with the mace. 2) spoiler alert. the 🧹 he took to the head which came out of nowhere and might have been MORE satisfying than #1.. 3) or the dude with his smartphone up close SIMULTANEOUSLY filming him AND roasting his ass for not leaning back properly when pouring the milk in his eyes, even advising him that he needs to dry himself like the hoes do and that he better have money for the milk.
While a Mother and her child were shopping in the corner store this Man tried to snatch her backpack and run but someone grabbed him before he made it out the store and the mother came back around and maced him
It's actually kind of crazy how many of the shootings in the Mission occur within two blocks of this shooting's location at 16th and Caledonia. Statistically, the families that live on Mission between 15th and 16th are probably an order of magnitude more likely to get shot compared to families living on other blocks even in the same neighborhood. And the risk level increases with proximity to the smoke shops.
☕️Thursday Morning Rollover --> How's your Thursday morning going? Hopefully better than the folks involved in this crash at South Van Ness and 13th Streets (a notoriously dangerous area for bikers and cars alike!). Fortunately, all occupants were able to self-extricate themselves prior to SFFD arriving and just two people reported injuries, both non-critical.
Fk mannn, I kinda took a twitter break over thanksgiving and the week before, so I am literally just seeing this news of Steven's passing. I just saw another tweet of yours from yesterday saying "remembering Steven" and I was hoping it wasn't this. This is tearing me up man. I can't even imagine what you are feeling about it. Or his Dad. I hope you have been coping okay since he passed. I really enjoyed getting to know Steven vicariously through your videos and conversations with him. Despite the helplessness of his gripping addiction, his attitude, humor, and willingness to be real always brightened my day. So much so that when I would see him around town when biking, I would stop and chat with him myself, and I am thankful for those experiences, and thankful to you personally. Without you being that conduit, that would have never happened, and Steven would really have never been known to people like myself. And now he's gone forever. That's life I guess. RIP Steven.
At 4:59 AM, the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle collision in the 200 block of South Van Ness Avenue. Upon arrival, fire units found a vehicle that had rolled over and a second vehicle that appeared damaged. Three occupants were outside the vehicles and had managed to extricate themselves.
The three individuals were evaluated by San Francisco fire paramedics. Two of them were transported to local hospitals for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries. The traffic division of the San Francisco Police Department is currently investigating the collision and will provide further information on the incident.
Fortunately, the situation was resolved with minor injuries and will not impact the morning commute.

@TL2ACTIVE Nice footage! Two ambulances were called, one for the suspect and one for the officer. Likely resulted after some shoplifting / theft dispute involving Smoking Aces smoke shop around the block on Polk.
@garrytan Waymos are literally helping to solve violent crimes in her district within 10 minutes of them occurring. Crimes that she refuses to acknowledge. https://t.co/GMKDKnDjvC
🔫☠️Fatal Shooting Just After Midnight at 16th and Valencia in San Francisco's Mission District --> At approximately 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, November 16th, 2025, the San Francisco Police Department responded to the intersection of 16th and Valencia for the report of a shooting that occurred after an altercation.
Two adult male victims were confirmed to have been shot and were transported to SF General, both in critical condition. We have confirmed that one of the victims is deceased. 16th Street was completely blocked off from Julian to Valencia and SFPD is still investigating the incident.
Here's some unconfirmed info for y'all that we have very high confidence in. The shooting took place directly behind a Waymo vehicle that was traveling eastbound on 16th Street. Within three minutes of the reported incident, San Francisco police officers had identified the Waymo vehicle and its license plate as having a strong chance of containing footage of the incident. Within 10 minutes of the initial incident being reported, San Francisco police had received a call from Waymo passing along suspect information that added to the descriptions being reported by on-scene witnesses.
Also unconfirmed, but high confidence -- one of the involved parties called the San Francisco Police Department and gave their location which happened to be the Sunnydale Housing Projects. San Francisco Police Ingleside units responded to that location and took one of the involved parties into custody. Out of an abundance of caution, this involved party, who potentially needed medical treatment, was taken to an alternate facility besides San Francisco General due to the victims and their families being currently located at San Francisco General.

@ScoMo1020 I've just confirmed that one of the victims died. It was very close to the corner of Valencia, but the closest intersection is technically 16th St and Caledonia.
🔫🐶SFPD Officer Involved Shooting, One person and one dog shot --> Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 9th, an officer-involved shooting took place near the intersections of Market Street and O'Farrell Street.
