Hon. Mayor @RudyGiuliani on Reza Pahlavi: " To me, it's outrageous that he's even presenting himself, and it's even more outrageous that some portion of the international media just ignore it."
"...The only reason he has any standing to ask for this position is because of his father. It'd be one thing if he were a man of his own accomplishment. If he had built a great, wonderful business that was helping people, or he saved people, or maybe like some people do, he was guilty for the sins of his father and tried to make compensation for that...."

In the next 24 hours, the Islamic Republic plans to brutally execute innocent #Iranian protesters including Vahid Bani Amerian and Abolhassan Montazer and protesters Mohammad Amin Biglari, Ali Fahim, Abolfazl Salehi Siavashani, Amirhossein Hatami, and Shahin Vahedparast Kolo. Their only crime is protesting for a better future for their country.
For decades – including in 1988, 2019, and this January – the Ayatollah’s regime has executed tens of thousands of innocent Iranians just for protesting or expressing dissent. I call on the international community to put relentless pressure on the Islamic Republic until these brutal executions cease.
EU parliament should invite the family members of Mojahedin executed in Iran to speak on their behalf. Unfortunately, they have invited Reza Pahlavi, whose followers have been chanting for Mojahedin to be killed, to the EU parliament. @villysoevndal@MichalSzczerba@vilimsky
The Islamic Republic continues to brutally execute brave #Iranian dissidents, like Akbar Daneshvarkar and Mohammad Taghavi-Sangdehi who were executed after being tortured and undergoing a sham trial.
I will always stand with the Iranian people and reaffirm their inalienable human rights to protest, to determine their own government, and to overthrow tyranny.
🚨4 PMOI members executed in 2 days🚨
Babak Alipour, Pouya Ghobadi, Mohammad Taghavi & Akbar Daneshvarkar—their names forever etched in Iran’s history.
UN, US & EU must:
• save political prisoners on death row
• close the regime’s embassies & expel terror diplomats
Silence and inaction are a green light for more crimes, as 47 years of appeasement have shown, and the people of Iran will never forget nor forgive.
🚨 Urgent Human Rights Alert in Iran
The Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR), Buenos Aires Chapter, expresses its deep concern over the escalation of executions and repression against protesters and political prisoners in Iran.
Recent information indicates the execution of several political prisoners and the use of lethal force against citizens exercising their right to protest. These actions constitute serious violations of international law and raise real fears that a pattern of systematic repression is continuing.
📢 We call on the international community and United Nations Member States to:
• Publicly condemn these executions and the violence against protesters
• Demand an immediate halt to the executions of political prisoners
• Ensure the release of individuals arbitrarily detained
• Allow independent monitoring of detention conditions
Silence is not an option. Defending life and human dignity requires action now.

🚨Following the hanging of 4 co-defendants, the Iranian regime is poised to execute:
🔹 Vahid Bani-Amerian: An elite student with a Master’s in Management, detained since Jan 2024.
🔹 Abolhassan Montazer: A political prisoner from the 1980s with a degree in Architecture. He suffers from severe heart, lung, and kidney diseases.
Mohammad Taghavi and Akbar Daneshvarkar were executed this morning in Ghezelhesar prison. Their lawyers and family members were not informed in advance of the planned execution.
Dr. Mai Sato, UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran, had previously raised serious concerns about the case of Taghavi and Daneshvarkar, noting that “they have received death sentences based on their alleged connections with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI).”
Mai Sato highlighted that the two prisoners, along with other four political prisoners, Babak Alipour, Vahid Bani Amerian, Pouya Ghobadi, and Abolhassan Montazer were subjected to torture and sentenced to death after an unfair trial. She reported that “Mr. Daneshvarkar spent two months in solitary confinement, was denied family contact and counsel. Mr. Taghavi Sangdehi spent 244 days in solitary confinement and more than eight months without access to legal counsel. Mr. Daneshvarkar was beaten during a home raid and threatened with the arrest of his wife and child.”

Pouya Ghobadi and Babak Alipour were executed this morning, one day after the executions of Mohammad Taghavi and Akbar Daneshvarkar. The brutal regime in Iran has taken the lives of four political prisoners in the past 24 hours.
According to Dr. Mai Sato, the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran, all those political prisoners were sentenced to death for baghi(armed rebellion against the foundations of the Islamic Republic of Iran) based solely on their alleged connections with the PMOI/MEK.
In a statement issued in September 2025, Dr. Sato warned that these prisoners along with Vahid Baniamerian and Abolhassan Montazer had been subjected to prolonged incommunicado detention, solitary confinement, multiple forms of physical and psychological torture, ill-treatment and threats during detention.
Iranian regime is using the death penalty as a weapon to silence dissent and spread fear.
Vahid Baniamerian and Abolhassan Montazer now face an imminent and grave risk of execution.
🚨Pouya Ghobadi: “I will not do an interview!”
Following his execution this morning, the regime released a heavily edited propaganda clip. Despite the blatant cutting, Pouya is seen confronting his interrogator and firmly refusing to participate in a staged forced confession.
Shocking Testimony of #PouyaGhobadi and #BabakAlipour Addressed to @drmaisato
CC: @EP_President@RobertaMetsola@Europarl_EN@Xavier_Bettel
In his testimony on torture and death threats, Babak Alipour recounts:
“The interrogator told me: You must speak and confirm the accusations we are making against you, otherwise I will keep beating you until morning. He then threatened to kill me with a handgun, saying: Will you talk, or shall I kill you? He came close, forced the barrel of the gun into my mouth, and repeated: Talk, or I will kill you.”
He further emphasizes that all of this humiliation, verbal abuse, beatings, and death threats with a firearm took place in the presence of a person introduced as the Deputy Prosecutor of Tehran — a fact that points to the direct and knowing involvement of judicial authorities in torture, forced confessions, and the issuance of death sentences.
@MyLordBebo@MarioNawfal@IndikativJetzt@mikepompeo@FreeOlivier_@YLeterme
The regime in Iran has begun executing political prisoners for their affiliation with the PMOI. Executing people for their beliefs is a human rights violation that must be condemned.
We want an Iran free from political violence, no matter who the target is.

“We are standing till the end.”
A memorable picture of two PMOI martyrs, Pouya Ghobadi and Babak Alipour, inside prison. Iran's genocidal regime executed them today.
.@Maryam_Rajavi paid tribute to the four men saying: “Babak, Pouya, Mohammad, and Akbar are the proud teachers of truth and sacrifice in our time, and their names will remain in the history of Iran forever.
Political prisoners Babak Alipour (34, a law graduate) and Pouya Ghobadi (33, an electrical engineer) were executed by the Mullahs regime this morning, following the executions of Mohammad Taghavi and Akbar Daneshvarkar just 24 hours earlier. #FreeIran
The Iranian regime is intensifying its campaign of state executions.
Political prisoners Babak Alipour (34, a law graduate) and Pouya Ghobadi (33, an electrical engineer) were executed by the regime this morning, following the executions of Mohammad Taghavi and Akbar Daneshvarkar just 24 hours earlier.
Their only “crime” was their affiliation with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI)
MEPs have repeatedly campaigned to end the death penalty and have urged the @eu_eeas@EUCouncil@Europarl_EN to act, to help save the lives of prisoners, particularly political prisoners. It is time to hold the regime accountable for years of crimes against the people of Iran.
