As we bear and proclaim the name and Atonement of Jesus Christ in all the world, it is important for each of us to remember that we are called first to teach, testify, and convert all to the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.  

Conversion to the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints follows naturally from that. The proper order of conversion is vital.   

Today in Brazil we rejoiced to join with many of these converted disciples of Jesus Christ as we gathered for the dedication of the Belo Horizonte Brazil Temple—the country’s 12th operating temple. 

Temples are essential to our Heavenly Father’s plan for His children. In these houses of the Lord we are taught the most important things we can learn and do in mortality and in the life that follows. 

I pray that those who worthily serve in this temple and temples around the world will participate with joy and be enlightened and guided by all that is said and done in the house of the Lord.

🚨 Governor Kotek Rejects Federal Support for Our Kids

Oregon has turned down a major federal scholarship initiative for K-12 education while 31 other states are participating.

Governor Kotek confirmed the state will not opt into the new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program. This initiative lets taxpayers redirect up to 1,700 dollars in federal taxes to scholarship organizations. The scholarships can be used for public or private schools to support tuition, tutoring, and other educational costs.

This decision leaves Oregon families without access to these scholarships. Taxpayer credits will flow to other states instead of supporting local students. It is a missed opportunity at no cost to Oregon’s state budget for our children.

Rejecting resources that expand educational options is the wrong choice for our families and our future.

This is complete BS by the governor.

Missionary work is soaring to new heights. We are days away from the opening of 55 new missions. This brings the total number of missions to 506. There is a total of over 87,000 full-time missionaries. And we are currently being reinforced by the first wave of 18-year-old sisters beginning their service. 

In coming weeks, we will have the largest number of full-time missionaries in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

These missionaries’ first responsibility is to testify of Jesus Christ to a world that suffers without knowledge of His divine mission. They invite people across the globe to become part of His true and living Church.

I affirm my testimony of Jesus Christ and the truth of His gospel. The Holy Ghost has given me a witness of its truthfulness, and I rejoice that I can spend my life in proclaiming it.

To me, Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is something of a sacred place.

Historically and spiritually, the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and the establishment of the Constitution of the United States led the way for religious liberty as the first freedom granted by the First Amendment.

🚨 California Passed "The Stop Nick Shirley Act":
This week the California Assembly passed AB 2624. This bill will criminalize investigative journalism involving the immigrant population. It would have made it illegal to expose the Somali "Learing" center if it were in California or the Armenian hospice fraud in LA if they claimed "reasonable fear."

The bill protects "immigration support services providers," which means services provided to immigrants, including health care. It has been proven that millions, potentially billions, of dollars in fraud has taken place in "immigrant support services” which includes nonprofits and NGOs the state funds.

California is trying to make it harder to expose fraud and scare individuals from investigating it as they could be forced and sued to remove the video, forced to pay attorney fees, and ordered to pay a minimum of $4,000 in damages.

This bill was created by Mia Bonta (the attorney general's wife). She has made 4 separate versions of this bill because each version violates the 1st Amendment and is extremely unconstitutional.

Plain and simple, California politicians need the fraud to continue because they depend on the fraud to push their agendas. END ALL THE FRAUD.

Oregon Democrats sent a very clear message on May 19th.

They did not move to the middle.

They did not listen to working families who are tired of higher taxes, higher costs, failing schools, homelessness, crime, and government overreach.

Businesses are leaving. Families are leaving. The warning signs are everywhere. By almost every major indicator, Oregon is struggling under one-party control.

And instead of voting for common sense, Democrats moved further left.

In Washington County, Democrats elected one openly Democratic Socialist and another far-left, union-backed progressive who talks about corporate “fair share” taxes, standing against ICE, abortion access, data center moratoriums, and reshaping the economy around left-wing priorities.

So here is the real question:

What does this mean for the general election and for Oregon’s future?

These are heavily Democratic districts, which means the real impact will likely be felt in Salem. As more lawmakers from the Democratic Party’s progressive and socialist wings join the Legislature, the pressure on Democratic leadership to move even further left will only grow.

We keep hearing this is the year for Republicans.

Maybe it is.

But Republicans better understand something: Democrats are not slowing down. They are not moderating. They are not apologizing.

They are doubling down.

The left is organizing. The unions are organizing. The socialist wing is organizing.

If Oregon Republicans think this state changes direction by sitting back and hoping voters figure it out on their own, we are mistaken.

Oregon is at a crossroads.

Either we fight for common sense, working families, parental rights, affordable living, public safety, and freedom or we watch the radical left take this state even further down the road it is already on.

The warning signs are no longer subtle.

The Legislature is poised to move even further left.

I do not believe enough Oregonians or elected leaders truly see the writing on the wall.

The question now is simple:

Will they wake up, change course, and fight hard?

Or will they keep compromising while Oregon keeps bleeding?
