Jonathan Sia was only 23 years old and just one week away from graduating when he was hospitalized with a kidney disorder.

After being intubated, he could no longer speak. In his final moments, his father said Jonathan began gesturing as though he could see someone.

He handed him a pen and paper, and although Jonathan was barely strong enough to hold it, he managed to write three words: “Jesus is real.”
