@PMArslanagic I gave birth over 25 years ago and had epidurals both times. I was reading a magazine until it was time to push. And found my NCT classes totally fine when I said I intended to have pain relief. Lucky I guess.
@PKRising1@KirstieMAllsopp With PE, parents are buying advantages for their child. If everyone used state, standards would rise-as in countries where everyone-however well off they are-uses state. To me, the real scandal of tax on education is the 9-15% graduates pay on top of their income tax and NI.
@PKRising1@KirstieMAllsopp There is an argument to be had that private education makes state education worse. If you can buy your child a good education, why ask for better standards? My expat friends from Scandinavia are bewildered about British education. Kids back home just go to the local school.
@CelesteWin33969@PolitlcsUK If kids are leaving school unable to read or add up, they would’ve started school and had the vast majority of their education during a Tory administration.
@GraemeFrew5@FrogstarWorld@jk_rowling Dying in old age is nothing like dying at 30. Dying in old age is what we’d all like to do having had the chance to live our life. Dying at 30 not so much.
@MartinSLewis@CommonsTreasury My son has just lost out using a Help to Buy ISA as his purchase is 270k. I feel guilty as I encouraged him to open one when he was 20. Ridiculous to keep an arbitrary cap when prices have risen a lot in the last 6 years.
@BarbaraRich_law I could easily write something just as emotive along the lines of being desperate for a peaceful death yet being denied by those who think they know better than me.
