@tigers yeah, a real role model! I’m sure this is exactly the kind of person we want to celebrate in a state with one of the nation’s largest concentrations of Muslim Americans. I know we’re not rolling in A-Listers but this is really scraping the bottom of the barrel
Finally seeing people realize that Southeast Michigan - home to 5 million people - is basically treated as a small outpost of Chicago by Amtrak. It's not even directly connected to Flint, Lansing or West Michigan within its own state.
This is almost beyond parody. I challenge you to find me another country that members of the US Congress speak about in this way, with this tone and passion. I dare you.
Today marks the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. As we honor the 1.5 million Armenians murdered by the Ottoman Empire across modern-day Turkey, Syria, and Armenia, we must refuse to let history repeat itself.
In 2020, the military forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey attacked the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2023, Azerbaijan expelled over 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, continuing the genocidal campaign that had begun over 100 years prior.
On this day of remembrance, we reaffirm the right of the Armenian people — and all people — to freedom, safety, and self-determination.
Yes it should be a humiliation, the US sneak attacked them, killed their leaders, mass murdered school girls and destroyed their critical infrastructure. What do people think Iran would agree to exactly?
This statement changes nothing.
The President has threatened a genocide against the Iranian people, and is continuing to leverage that threat.
He has launched a massive war of enormous risk and of catastrophic consequence without reason, rationale, nor Congressional authorization - which is as clear a violation of the Constitution as any. Each day this goes on, the risk and criminality of these actions escalate for our nation and the world.
Moreover, this administration’s self enrichment, insider trading, and pure corruption off this chaos - from crypto currencies to predictive trading markets to bribe “settlements” - has placed the Trump administration’s pursuit of personal wealth squarely against the wellbeing of our nation and its people.
All of these incidents, and plenty more, have clearly driven our country past the threshold for impeachment or invocation of the 25th amendment.
We cannot risk the world nor the wellbeing of our nation any longer. None of these considerations should be partisan, but shared in good faith by Americans of all backgrounds who care for the safety and stability of the United States.
Whether by his Cabinet or Congress, the President must be removed from office. We are playing with the brink.
