Halfway between Yule and Ostara, solstice and equinox, the sun sets on Imbolc - while the seeds of spring are stirring in the womb of mother Earth.
Respecting the cycle of the seasons, the position of Earth in the solar system and the place of humans within nature - these points of reference make much sense to me than any invented by patriarchal societies trying to dominate and control people.
We are delighted to be welcoming back singer/songwriter @samcartermusic to our little stage here at @Froizesuffolk on Sunday 28th January. Tickets: https://t.co/pikLXfHl82

A perfect evening to be out on the Suffolk Sandlings with a group after a superb dinner at @Froizesuffolk. Thanks to @birdergranty we were in pole position to enjoy prolonged flight views of two sparring male Nightjars with lots of churring, wing clapping and calling. Magic!
Spring continues apace! @StevePiotrowski & I guided a group from @Froizesuffolk this am. We enjoyed a fine variety of birds in song at Chillesford and, after breakfast, had superb views of a singing Nightingale at Bromeswell. Later we popped to Boyton for the Great Reed Warbler.
