Suffolk Barn Owls boxes are showing low occupancy (due to 2 bad years previous), high productivity (it’s a good vole year) & no mortality. We are expecting second broods.
We enjoyed the amazing privilege last week of helping ring 6 Barn Owl chicks with @DPearsons@JustZant @ezany2000 @NatureDanZant So fantastic to welcome new life to the Suffolk countryside made possible by the Suffolk Barn Owl Project.
Ringers on tour! @birdbyaccident and I were very happy to see this cute and as it turns out very tiny Dartford Warbler in the hand at Dunwich Heath! Thanks to @WaveneyBirdClub for their demo
Perfect weather for our Spring Awakening walk @Froizesuffolk; superb views of Dartford Warblers and Woodlarks the highlight. Great to see @StevePiotrowski back out guiding alongside @BirderGranty. Magnificent lunch to finish! Next up Spring Migration https://t.co/uzzTpDVDbh
Wonderful to catch up with @StevePiotrowski and @BirderGranty over a fabulous pint at @SwefflingPub tonight….. watch out for 16 all new birding and wildlife courses this year https://t.co/5uanmMjMth RT
If EDF are so worried about the scattering of trees harming coastal defences in the event tsunami, the why the hell are they proposing building Sizewell C by the seaside. @EADT24@SayNo2SizewellC@StopSizewellC
My letter re the Sizewell Sycamores in today’s ( Monday’s) East Anglian Daily Times. Good to get it off my chest but I’m still fuming about it! Sea defences threatened by the trees? Hmmm….@SayNo2SizewellC@sizewellc
A disgraceful example of environmental vandalism by EDF. May harm Coastal defences - my arse! A substantial no. of trees have been felled. Would EDF please confirm whether they had a felling license or will they pull their legal statutory undertaking exception card? @EADT24

🤩🤩POLECAT AT BAWDSEY HALL🤩🤩
One of Britain’s rarest and elusive mammals, the Polecat, joined us last last night during one of our nighttime photography experiences. Here is a photograph of the star itself #polecat#feelingexcited#wildlife#rare#suffolk#escapetobawdseyhall

Sickening is an understatement. Is this a portent of things to come with the development of Sizewell C and how does such destruction tie in the EDF's environmental policy? @EADT24 @magnoxsites
Saddened/sickened at this. Suffolk birders’ beloved sycamores in front of Sizewell A destroyed. Haven for many migrant birds over the years. Nuke industry trashing nature again. Biodiversity Net Gain I suppose? Pull the other one…@sizewellc@EADT24 @magnoxsites @StopSizewellC
