The wind had left the city
& you, that took with you the
decorum
My heart is not normal
That kiss has your memory
installed, but in the pixels
of what's left of a daydream is
distortions
The Nuhr too left (A surface glow)
& what's left is a plagiarism of my
soul
The wind had left the city.
What was left of it, that is.
They’d breathe a sigh of relief now.
Celebrate survival for a few hours.
For after sunrise they’d see
what state they were left in
and start the huge endeavor
of cleaning up the damages.

The wind had left the city
at ‘wheels up’ on Air Force One
The air smelled far less shitty
Clouds parted from the sun
The loathsome stench was headed south
to play a round or two –
and from that gang-banged-anus mouth
the putrid wind still blew
#FromOneLine
The wind had left the city
Eerily still
Nothing moved
Not even people
Ominous feeling
Sky like a ceiling
Heart quaking
No room for faking
Anything

The wind had left the city
yet deprived heart of tranquility
In its place silence reigned
like the absence of whispers on my pillow
The wind
friend of my night moans
of my muffled cries
when you kissed me goodbye
Now it's gone
and so are you
The wind had left the city. So now, the howls of wolves could not be carried to the moon, and barks of dogs could not be heard at midnight.
The wind had left the city. Now, it was hot and humid, and everyone wore less clothes

The wind had left the city
No flurry, no hurry,
only misty rain falling
in the stillness of the night
You turned to me in fright
Has #midnight struck?, you gasped
Clutching my arm, you rasped
eyes pleading
I lied, said 'Not yet my love, we have a moment more'
#FromOneLine#vss365
The wind had left the city
At midnight cries of seagulls
How should I know
To find a snake skull
With emerald eyes
In that ominous box
Which came alive
As soon as I touched
To be bitten by the
Poisonous teeth
Shone like ruby
An unholy relic

They waited patiently
A night
A week
A month
Time had no hold on them
In the end they always got what they came for
There was no escaping them
You could not change your fate
If you appeared on their list
You were going to get reaped
