Salam!
I'm Mike, an American, and my girlfriend is Iranian.
Through her, I've discovered the beauty of Persian poetry, mythology, food, and art.
This page shares that journey through original artwork, stories, and timeless Persian wisdom.
Welcome to From Persia, With Love. 🌹
Some moments deserve more than a photograph—they deserve to be told.
This comic is my attempt to capture the day I asked Melody to marry me at the beautiful Persian-inspired gardens of Untermyer Gardens. Every panel represents a moment I'll never forget—from the nervous walk to the Temple of Love, to hearing the word that changed my life forever: "Yes." ❤️
Melody, thank you for choosing this life with me. I feel incredibly blessed to begin this next chapter by your side. Here's to a lifetime of adventures, laughter, family, and love.
This is the first page of our greatest story together. 💍

One of the most fascinating places I've discovered through Melody is Alamut Castle. 🇮🇷
These images aren't meant to be a historical reconstruction, but rather an artistic reimagining of Alamut at its height—imagined with the epic grandeur and cinematic beauty of Middle-earth. A place where Persian history and high fantasy meet.
It felt especially fitting to create them now, in honor of Alamut's recent recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. May this remarkable fortress continue to inspire curiosity about Persia's rich history for generations to come.

Iran = Land of the Aryans.
Not Hitler’s invention. He stole the word, twisted it, and stained it forever.
The real story is older, cleaner, and has nothing to do with 20th-century racial madness.
“Aryan” (Old Iranian arya-, Avestan airya-) simply meant “noble” or “of our people.”
The Iranians used it for themselves more than 2,500 years ago.
That’s why the country is called Iran — literally “Land of the Aryans.”
Persian (Farsi) is an Indo-European language.
Same family as English, German, French, Spanish, Hindi, Russian, Greek…
Not Semitic. Not Turkic. Indo-European.
Hitler grabbed an ancient Iranian self-name, turned it into a political weapon, and poisoned the word for generations.
That doesn’t change the historical or linguistic fact.
Iran’s name and the Persian language predate the Nazis by millennia.
Some love stories deserve a setting with a story of its own.
When I decided to ask Melody to marry me, I wanted the place to be just as meaningful as the moment. We found that at Untermyer Gardens in New York.
The gardens were inspired in part by the ancient Persian concept of pairidaeza—the walled paradise gardens that gave us the very word paradise. Walking those paths together, surrounded by beauty influenced by the culture that shaped Melody's heritage, felt like the perfect place to begin the next chapter of our own story.
Melody, you've introduced me to a world of Persian poetry, myths, language, music, and food. More importantly, you've shown me your heart. I can't imagine a better partner to share life's adventures with.
She said yes. ❤️💍
Here's to a lifetime of learning from one another, laughing together, and building a family rooted in love.

🍽️ Eating Persian with Mike & Melody – Episode 2
Today I'm trying Akbar Mashti—traditional Persian saffron ice cream flavored with rose water. 🌹🍨
It was unlike any ice cream I've ever had. Rich, fragrant, and absolutely delicious. The saffron and rose water make it something truly unique.
Another Persian favorite added to my list. 🇮🇷❤️

"The National Museum of Art in Tehran, Iran 😍
Did you know that the building of the "National Museum of Art" in Tehran was originally a historical structure (a palace or takyeh from the Qajar era) that has been transformed into a place for preserving the rarest and most authentic masterpieces of Iranian and traditional art? 🏛️✨

Every legend begins with a single moment.
Today, I'm excited to introduce a new series...
Wonder Lady of Persia 🇮🇷
Issue #1 — The Wind in Her Hair
A little girl was simply chasing bubbles on a windy afternoon.
Fear tried to steal her joy.
But hope arrived.
Wonder Lady of Persia is a tribute to the courage, resilience, and enduring spirit of the Iranian people—and to the belief that even the smallest acts of kindness can become extraordinary.
Because hope cannot be confiscated.
