@RoriSamantha@sfedfund Why is income a part of this application? Considering the shortage, schools should welcome qualified volunteers…. Or is there a surplus of volunteers?
@jilltucker SFUSD definitely will not benefit by returning to it’s past behavior of fixing names, painting over art and anti-student focused perforative adult drama. The #RECALL was the most positive sign for public education in SF recently.
After being overwhelmingly recalled by voters, Lopez was fined by San Francisco Ethics Commission for doling school contracts to “consulting” companies that paid her and not filing financial disclosures.

Unless funding is disclosed, beware anyone who says "I've visited schools in X" and here's what I saw. They've usually been on a junket. They saw what their hosts wanted them to see.
@Lance4CASuper@CADeptEd SFUSD’s current math model is NOT the one you want for the whole state of CA (but it almost was, thanks to Jo B*aler). 9.08% of African American students met or exceeded math standards in 2022. Kids need to be taught math and reading - we can’t continue to fail them in this.
@cheesemonkeysf@CKocivar Well considering how some of the schools are performing, is it only a funding issue? What is needed along with the funds to improve some of these schools?
@LeaMcGravy @FromSF22@harad@jilltucker@sfchronicle@lopez4schools@AnnforSFboe@LainieforSFboe@WWLisaN News-flash, Lea, it's not conservative to want your children to have a functioning school district. You support people who nearly bankrupted SFUSD and then tried to take $87M for personal gain because they made negative stereotypes about an entire racial group.
Here is Spring 2022 data from the June Jordan School for Equity. 95% failed math standards. Someone please consider the name “Equity” https://t.co/TxZhxJrwUN
The legacy of the recalled school board in a nutshell:
"In San Francisco, the gap in proficiency rates among racial and ethnic groups reached more than 50 percentage points."
