@PhDtoProf Yes, that is true. I have come across a paper that had fake reference, or even the whole paper being written by AI. I often look at the paper others are citing, not only to verify but because there can be an information I can use.
@DrMarissaKate Itโs bad but whatโs worse is that if you on stipend, at least at my university. You are not even allowed to work more than 9 hours a week as you are expected to focus on your PhD Monday-Friday. Even without stipend you are on restricted hours by the university.
Don't for to catch @ABCaustralia War on Waste tonight and check out episode 1 if you missed it with ARI's Professor Fred Leusch and PhD student Hsuan-Cheng Lu @hcluuuu https://t.co/77lsdnWXk3
@lu_casgimenez Congrats and Welcome to Griffith. Itโs a great uni, and Itโs sure youโll enjoy your PhD journey. Will you be fully based in SeaWorld labs or G51 as well? If so, say hi when you around. The people here are great and super helpful!
Iโm happy to share that I received an โGriffith Award for Academic Excellenceโ I had a rough start during my bachelor, and Iโm glad managed to turned it around. https://t.co/Mq9JKfav8X
Honours update!!!
2 weeks ago, I submitted my honours thesis, and this week I had my presentation (Honours defense). This presentation was the last bit of an assignment that needed to be done in my honours. With that my honours is completed.
In the past few months of my honours, I had to change my method multiple time, and now I have finally started. On the other side, as my thesis is due in 2 months I don't have time to do all my experiments and thatโs why my project will now focus on an effect of MPs in algae.
