Pre-harvest sprout tolerance is very important across the Northern Plains. At Frontier Genetics we screen all our experimental lines in addition to commercial varieties to assess their tolerance/susceptibility.

It’s that time of year again, one of my favorite times of year, head row selection. Each 3’ row is derived from a single head. We have about 280 unique crosses, with 100 rows per cross/population, which makes for 28K rows to work and select from.
