Honestly, the hardest part of starting a business is learning to get out of your own way sometimes. There's time for thinking and planning, but unless you actually take those steps you'll never know if you can do it.

Forming an LLC by yourself isn't as much of a headache as it's made out to be. Many companies exist to handle everything for you, and they're useful if you'd rather let someone else handle the paperwork, but honestly I did it all myself in a couple of hours.

It saddens us to see the spaces we once loved and watched grow from nothing to becoming the behemoths we all dread. Twitch should be ashamed of themselves.

So far all the funding for development of this company has come straight from our founder's pocket. Hundreds in startup fees and thousands invested in equipment. The next stage will be even more expensive, and so it's time we begin looking at grant programs and loan applications.

The proposal for our MVP development has been sent off to the web design team we have chosen to contract to build our website/webapp. After discussions and refinement, we will be able to give a timeline for deployment.

We've selected a web app developer for our site. We're currently designing the wireframe that will outline the functionality of each page. UI/UX will come after.

Couldn't do much today. We're waiting on finalization of our filings with the SBA before we move forward. Once those are complete and we can finally claim SDVOSB status, we're filing for an SBA micro loan for operating capital for server and electrical system upgrades.

It seems like every step in starting a small business takes 1-3 days. Filing for an LLC? 1-3 days. Getting an EIN? 1-3 days. SBA registration? 1-3 days.

Not complaining, just saying that if you're planning a business, plan for the wait time. Not everything happens all at once.
