None of you guys are as smart as you think you are. Discs of now when it come to ps5 and Xbox series x are mainly for authentication purposes. They don’t really hold the actual game on the discs because of how much space games take up. The only valid argument is taking away ownership of digital games when they are pushing for digital media only. If you were to buy a disc now for ps5, it would authorize the digital download from the store. Say if you delete the game, you could redownload from the store, but it won’t play without the disc because the authentication is on the disc and not through the store. Yall really can’t be that dense. If you’re gonna make a big deal about something, make sure you know what you’re talking about. Discs are a waste of resources and aren’t important when most people move on to the next game. Again, it’s the ownership that’s the topic here. Not the discs. Collecting older games on disc/cartridge is a different story. New games are all digital regardless of disc or no disc. Can’t put COD on the disc because it’s a massive hub that takes up way more space than the disc can hold especially since it’s a hub for all of the cod games and not just one
