I can relate to Campbell in a number of ways. Used to be getting "emotional" or having tears in your eyes equated to weakness. I firmly believe that it's the opposite. Being transparent w/who are & unashamed to let people know how you feel about them is everything.
I love this interaction from Nebraska LB Dasan McCullough & Head Coach Matt Rhule.
McCullough received a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty for a play that happened on Northwestern's sideline.
This shows me Rhule has this team's attention & vice versa.
Coach up, then hug it out.
Greatness Demands We, Not Me.
"There is going to be shared sacrifice.
Our more has to be more team success.
And, our roster has to be okay with it, because we are chasing something bigger than personal ambition and personal accolades."
When older players are willing to help out younger players...
When starters are willing to help out their backups...
When everyone cares about each other's success as much as their own...
That's when you know you have a championship culture!

“The message is-man when you get an opportunity to make your plays, you’ve got to make your plays but you’ve got to do it within the system. You’ve got to do it with the fundamentals you’ve been taught,” Dan Campbell
Winners make plays that build the team not their ego.
