The truly disturbing thing though, I just want you to know this, a truly disturbing thing to me, and the darkest thing about this, to me, the voter fraud is terrible.”

I'm seeing some people proudly announcing they aren't voting in November, like refusing to participate is some kind of revolutionary act.

What the hell happened to fighting for what you believe in?!

You're angry at the government? Good. You're disgusted with career politicians? Understandable. You're sick of broken promises and political games? You're certainly not alone.

But since when did sitting on your ass and doing absolutely NOTHING become a strategy for changing ANYTHING?!

You think politicians suddenly lose their power because you've decided you're done participating?

Newsflash: The elections STILL happen. The laws STILL get passed. Your taxes STILL get collected. And the government STILL makes decisions that affect your life!
All you've accomplished is removing yourself from the decision.

And don't give me this BS that refusing to vote somehow makes you more patriotic or more principled than everyone else.

You can question the system. You can demand accountability. You can refuse to blindly support politicians. But don't pretend political surrender is some heroic act of resistance!

Our ancestors fought for the right to have a voice in their government.

And now we've got people treating that voice like it's completely worthless.
Being pissed off isn't a political strategy. Complaining isn't a solution. And surrendering your voice sure as hell isn't fighting back!

You don't have to agree with me. You don't have to support a particular party.

But understand this...

November doesn't get canceled because you've given up.

Keith Ellison just called the noticing bigotry. Somali Minnesotans are our neighbors. The Minnesota he knows is better than this. Federal rescue, he says, ended with two people shot by agents, so never again, and he will drag the president back to court.

The file he will not put in the post: twelve Somali sets. About three hundred people. Fourteen dead. More than a hundred shootings. A homecoming evacuated. A hundred rounds on a Bloomington street. An 18-year-old charged for taking a rifle and 200 rounds for a planned attack at the Mall of America. A quarter of a billion dollars in fraud. Eighty charged. A former mayoral aide sentenced. Muddy and The Ville, which he himself sued in August. A judge found three men were Muddy.

That is not a neighborly disagreement. That is a culture of clan, xeer, and a creed that does not yield, left unchecked by the attorney general who now calls the description of it hate.
