#Somalia’s President has sparked controversy after a speech condemning Somaliland’s ties with Israel, describing saluting the Israeli flag as “a disgrace” and making remarks critics described as antisemitic and hostile toward Jews and engagement with the Jewish community.
Observers warned the rhetoric risks inflaming religious tensions and undermining diplomatic discourse in the Horn of Africa. #Somaliland #Israel
To @RealDonaldTrump@JDVance@SecRubio. Last August Senator Cruz sent this letter to the US President. Having just visited Somaliland may I endorse this letter as I believe in these troubled times it is in your national interest to do so…@tedcruz..
In a public speech, #Bill_Gates praised #Somaliland as a leading example of advanced digital currency adoption, whereas #Somalia has consistently ranked number one among the most corrupt countries according to #Transparency_International’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI).
To my fellow citizens of the Republic of Somaliland, home & abroad, I extend my sincere greetings and appreciation, and convey my best wishes for enduring peace, stability, and prosperity.
Somaliland is here, in the world, and we thank Israel!
We are confident that other states will join us soon, recognizing our sovereignty and rightful place in the international community.
People forget that Dr. @IsmailiAhmedR has already filed a lawsuit and exposed severe corruption and fraudulent malpractices in Somalia's remittances program at the UNDP; which he was threatened and blackmailed by his then-employers to not whistleblow the whole scandal.
I am sure he knows what he’s doing with some poxy Kenyan-Somalian “bank” @premierbankSO engaging in money laundering activities in the Horn of Africa.
Remember that this is his bread and butter.
We, the Somaliland citizens, are forever grateful and indebted to the doctor for the exposé he’s uncovered and made public thus far.
God bless you, sir! 🙏🏽
A small unrecognised African state -Somaliland - this week won a prestigious international award for electoral integrity, professionalism and excellence.
The award in Gaborone, puts Somaliland on the same league as Botswana, a strong top-tier African liberal democracy, cements its status as 'shining beacon of democracy' in the Horn.
A proud moment for Somaliland, no doubt, but also a poignant moment.
Poignant because it seems no extraordinary feat and achievement by Somaliland is enough to galvanise international attention and generate sufficient international interest to address its case for international recognition once and for all.
But maybe as a close Somaliland friend and intellectual and once told me I missing the bigger point.:
"We pursue democracy and democratic state-building because it is intrinsically good and necessary for our stability, development and well-being. Democracy is its own higher goal - a means and an end. Our democracy was never a means to another higher, nobler goal."
🇺🇸 Trump’s Panama Canal Moment
Somaliland offers America exclusive access to Berbera’s port & 4km airfield—a low-cost, high-impact foothold in one of the world’s most strategic corridors.
In 1903, Roosevelt recognized Panama & secured the canal.
In 2025, Trump can recognize Somaliland & secure the Red Sea.
#RecognizeSomaliland
#FirstpostAfrica: Somalia’s breakaway region, Somaliland, has offered the United States access to its strategic Red Sea military base in Berbera.
@alysonle tells you more.
Somalia has become Türkiye’s Neo-colonial client
May the creator bless you all, Aamiin.
Somalis and their genuine well-wishers are deeply concerned about Turkey’s evolving role in the country.
Over four years ago, I wrote an essay warning about the looming trouble. It’s clear now that Türkiye has a neo-colonial agenda and its humanitarian cover has been lifted.
This neocolonial agenda is assisted by the Somali president who is deeply vulnerable to Ankara’s political blackmail.
The secret petroleum deal, as well other strategic ‘businesses’ such as the management of the Mogadishu airport and seaports, the secret defense treaty, and the proposed satellite launching station along the east coast of the country signal Türkiye’s concerted agenda to turn Somalia to neocolonial Türkiye client.
Our challenges are towering but united we shall overcome.
Attached is the 2022 essay that warned about the troubles ahead.

The US just forgave a $1.14 billion loan to Somalia and now Somalia just retained a DC based lobbying firm.
They’re using our own money to lobby for more money and handouts
Meanwhile we are trillions of dollars in debt and Americans can’t afford gas and groceries
