Luckily 15 min later the owners of the property came & put out the fire themselves before it spread. They were fortunate, but to think if that was a family home with kids it would be a different story. Still can’t fathom. This has to be changed @FireEmergency @NairobiCityGov

Last night at 3AM, a fire broke out next to my place in Nairobi at a construction site. When i tried to call for help, all the emergency numbers 999, 911 & 112 were automated with no answer. I had to google the fire department number which was a regular phone number…
