Parents can't always be perfect, training their children & giving them everything they need in life.

I'm not a parent, but my own parents didn't get everything they needed either.

We looked a mankind instead of to a higher power that has the ability to give us all we need.

@Cmabe04 Beyond mere Progressivism, radical ppl in our gvmts moved to normalize mental illnesses, & stigmatize trad values.

While I tend to accept & love everyone, trying to understand each person, there are some general standards we need to abide by like respect & care for each other.

@Cmabe04 Like in ppl, our Gvmt has had good & bad mixed together.

Although we've done some new & good things along the way, overall human nature keeps leading us in a downward direction, when not accompanied with a higher Spirit of power and morality, imo.

It's been a challenge to maintain our Republican form of gvmt.

God prophesies bad things are going to happen, even to His elect & chosen people.

Things have to get worse before they get better, as the Book of Revelation describes.

We do need more "goodly"/Godly ppl.

@Cmabe04 It was interesting to consider Aristotle's opinions & those of many others. Our forefathers did & debated a lot.

Examining what our forefathers studied
& considered is interesting also.

While Aristotle may have required people of exceptional character to be at the top of his ruling class, I still think that type of government tends to draw people who want power over others or who think that they are superior to others.

@gallintry We've all done bad stuff. Some of us are highly sensitive & feel deeply abt mistakes we've made. They make us sigh to think abt them.

That's actually a good sign - we care deeply about our mistakes.

It's better than being uncaring & hurting others intentionally.

@Cmabe04 The states can voluntarily follow the US Gvmt guidelines.

That is why we do not have motor vehicle inspections in SC & dont get millions of federal highway funds due to refusing to kiss their butt.

SC doesnt have a minimum wage, but they agree with the federal minimum wage.

I'm happy the way we have the balance of powers setup, except our government isn't working exactly as it was intended to do.

@Cmabe04 I understand what you say from a righteous Christian's point of view.

That would fundamentally change the USA if we gave the federal government power over the states, plus the ability to choose & enforce religion.

We are supposed to be united but independent states.

That particular Sunday, December 7th, was an anniversary of an awesome event which turned the tide of this nation for a long time.

It may not seem natural to love our enemies, but God says to do it. It is unsustainable to kill our enemies.
