Yes, hands down. He's the only one so far who gives me the slightest hope that he would lead us down a path where we would eliminate the profit motive from the necessities of life like health care, education, food and housing.
Echoes of Peter Magyar who won an overwhelming victory in Hungary by going outside the big cities and criss-crossing the country side talking about corruption. Way to go, James!
“We are running against a broken system, and the powerful people who broke it. And they’re afraid of this movement that we’re building. We’re a threat to their corruption, to their cruelty, and to their chaos.” — James Talarico
Democratic U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico says he wants to end tax breaks for billionaires, including abolishing write-offs for luxury items and restricting the use of offshore bank accounts. https://t.co/6iAquw5KQQ
BREAKING: Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune crushes Trump's fascist dreams by rejecting his shocking call to "nationalize" voting in America and for his party to "take over" elections in fifteen states.
This plan hit a brick wall FAST...
“I’m supportive of only citizens voting and showing ID at polling places. I think that makes sense. … But I’m not in favor of federalizing elections, no. I think that’s a constitutional issue,” Thune said to reporters.
“I’m a big believer in decentralized and distributed power," he continued. "And I think it’s harder to hack 50 election systems than it is to hack one. In my view, at least, that’s always a system that has worked pretty well."
The senator's remarks came after Trump told disgraced former Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino that Republicans should seize control of the American election apparatus.
“The Republicans should say, ‘We want to take over,’” Trump told Bongino on his podcast. “We should take over the voting, the voting in at least many... Fifteen places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting.”
Of course, such a takeover would have nothing to do with ensuring election integrity and everything to do with undermining our democratic processes. Trump continues to spread the lie that the 2020 election was stolen and his FBI's recent raid on the Fulton County election hub likely indicates that he's trying to manufacture evidence for his conspiracy theories as a pretext to suppress the vote during the midterms.
This new call for taking over our elections comes as Republicans are working to pass the Orwellianly titled "SAVE Act" which would force voters to present documentation at polling places — a move that's designed solely to make it harder to vote and thus reduce turnout. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has slammed the bill as "nothing more than Jim Crow 2.0."
It can be difficult to keep track of all of Trump's crimes, scandals, and power grabs but it is absolutely paramount that we stay laser-focused on his attacks on our democratic processes. If we lose our elections, we lose everything.
Please ❤️ and share if you will fight tooth and nail to prevent Trump from taking over our elections!

This is Alex Pretti, a registered nurse and the man murdered by ICE today in Minneapolis protecting a fellow citizen from Trump’s thugs.

Huge happy 80th birthday to the legendary @DollyParton 🎉- we are marking it with a parody of her 2nd number one hit, written by the @BeeGees.
Our 🎶 version's called "Donald's Sewage Stream" - since he brought his sick drivel to #Europe#Davos#NATO & our #armedforces this week
If you are serious about stopping Trump's big money supporters it is time to boycott the brands backing his regime.
Start with Whole Foods, Dasani, Goya, and Minute Maid.
Listen to the video for more companies Americans use all the time and have no idea they are bankrolling Trump's authoritarianism.
No one should be funding companies who like cruelty,
corruption, and chaos.

.@JamesTalarico asked a Fox host a simple question:
“How many Republicans joined Democrats in banning gerrymandering?”
The host froze: “Which one? I’m sorry?”
Talarico pressed: “If Republican policies are so popular, why do they need to redraw these maps?”
Suddenly the host was “getting wrapped on time.”
When the facts corner them, the clock always runs out.
@lwalshmill A campaign launching ad that is all about TFG's insane statements about her doesn't give voters a reason to support her. That's the problem with most Democrats, they don't have a convincing narrative. Except Zohran Mandamni and look what happened in NYC.
Performative politics. She doesn't have a prayer of winning the general election and she's running because her congressional seat has been eliminated by gerrymandering.
🚨BREAKING: Jasmine Crockett has just announced that she is running for U.S. Senate in Texas.
Her announcement video showing Trump calling her "low IQ" and her rolling her eyes is EPIC.
She knows exactly how to get under Trump’s skin.
.@JamesTalarico: I passed the first-ever cap on insulin in the state of Texas. I fought against this private school voucher scam that’s going to take money out of our public schools. And I fought against these rigged maps that are going to dilute the voting power of Latinos all over the state of Texas.
.@JamesTalarico: Imagine a Democratic Party that takes on big money and isn't captured by it.
Imagine a Democratic Party that listens to the people, not DC consultants.
And imagine a Democratic Party that delivers for people on housing, healthcare, education, and actually defeats the right-wing extremists who have taken over this country.
NEW: This is a video James Talarico just sent to the 10k volunteers on his campaign.
"We will always treat Congresswoman Crockett with the utmost respect. She is my colleague and she is a leader in our state. She deserves nothing less.”
