U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall claimed during Wednesday night's debate that tariffs were helping Great Plains Manufacturing in Salina. The company's chief financial officer says that's not the case. | #ksleg via Anna Kaminski https://t.co/ka0bvQL0L5
Former KS House Republican Majority leader endorses Adam Hamilton over Roger Marshall
“By this point in the election cycle, we are all fed up with the constant barrage of election messaging.
We are ready for it to stop. We long to see ambulance-chasing lawyer ads on TV, cute animal videos on social media, and we are even looking forward to the day our mailbox contains nothing more than bills.
The messaging barrage is relentless, but accomplishes very little. If we desire clarity before we enter the voting booth, we need to shut out all that noise and examine the evidence before our eyes.
In the Kansas campaign for U.S. Senator, we can judge incumbent Senator Roger Marshall on his record — by his actions and by his inaction. By that metric, he has failed Kansas time and again.
Roger Marshall failed to speak out while the Trump administration’s actions hurt international trade alliances which Kansas farmers, consumers, and businesses depend upon.
He has defended ill-conceived tariffs that continue to devastate Kansas’s economy.
He regularly shows up on cable preaching about the threat of immigration but then quietly pleads for amnesty when ICE raids target our workforce in southwest Kansas.
He speaks out of both sides of his mouth on issues critical to Kansas agriculture.
Roger Marshall has enthusiastically supported tax policy which further enriches the wealthiest, while average Kansans fall further behind. And he has remained in support of an ill-conceived Iran war, which has created significant negative effects on the U.S. economy — easily seen in $4 a gallon gas and $6 a gallon diesel.
And finally, Marshall has turned a blind eye to rampant corruption within the administration and has supported them in their refusal to bring justice to the thousands of victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates.
Roger Marshall’s actions and inactions demonstrate his choice to ignore the needs and wishes of his constituents.
He has chosen instead to do the bidding of his fat-cat donors and to consistently, unthinkingly, and obediently follow the wishes of the president.
If we allow him to continue to ignore his constituents, we are telling him that it is OK. We are telling him that he can ignore us without consequence.
This is how representative government dies.
When we consider the alternative, Pastor Adam Hamilton, we can look to his well-respected background as a church founder and pastor.
That is a wonderful and inspiring story, and I have seen it firsthand by attending his church on a few occasions.
But we can also examine his words during the campaign even as we acknowledge that he must prove those words in office.
Adam promises to lead and govern from the center, with compassion and understanding; or, as he has claimed on the campaign trail, he will use his brain, his heart, and his courage on behalf of all Kansans.
He has pledged to avoid extremes and to be present and accessible to Kansans.
These are just words at this point, but I certainly like what I hear, and I believe it is time to give the new guy a chance.
As a 12-year veteran of the Kansas Legislature, I certainly understand how the system works.
But I also earnestly believe that there will be times when a legislator must take an unpopular stand when it is of great importance to his or her constituents.
Failure to do so inevitably leads constituents to ask why their representative is even in office, and for whom he serves.
Increasingly, Roger Marshall’s constituents are asking exactly those questions.
It is time for Roger to go. It is time to put our trust in @Hamilton4Kansas.
I respectfully ask you to join me in doing so.

Will Roger Marshall take questions after the debate? #KSSen
"We have made the offer, as well, to Senator Marshall. We hope he'll join us as well here in a few minutes."
Roger Marshall has voted 14 times to stay in the war.
We’ve got to get out and bring costs down. To deliver relief now, let's temporarily suspend the gas tax.
Democratic strategist @GuyCecil said it right, Republican strategist Jason Theilman will be apologising for this later. This clearly reminds us that the Rs simply have no good argument to present to the voters. Jason Theilman played the racist card during an insiders political discussion about how the senate races were going. Guy handled it like a real pro. Dana Bash was gobsmacked.

Can a single Republican operative, consultant, or political staffer explain to me how Roger Marshall has run for the United States Senate with exactly ZERO staff? How is that possible?

I won't repost the ad, but Vivek Ramaswamy should be ashamed of himself. He will get what is due when this ad backfires on him and he loses his race for Governor. Despicable.
Week before Election Day, Roger Marshall’s campaign still had no one on payroll. For years, his senate office was funding campaign events and trips to his home in Florida. https://t.co/nOTj4SaY6z

Trump is stumping for Marshall, who is neck and neck against @Hamilton4Kansas
