We welcome the World Bank's new Investment Framework for Nutrition and urge partners to get behind these important policy recommendations.

Government budgets continue to be squeezed, exacerbated by the global economic downturn and donors' budgets being stretched between a multitude of crises, including humanitarian responses to global conflict and the increasing threat of climate change.

Despite the availability of nutrition treatments, uptake remains alarmingly low in many countries. Understanding the underlying reasons is crucial for improving access and ensuring more children receive the care they need.

Our Access Initiative monitoring tool, developed in partnership with @Irish_Aid, @UNICEF, @UniOfLib School of Public Health and the Ministry of Health Liberia has been successfully implemented in Liberia. This tool is instrumental in identifying barriers to treatment and informing targeted interventions.

Last month, our Monitoring Evaluations and Programme manager @OshiokeGHB travelled to Liberia to attend a workshop discussing the latest data from the initiative. His visit provided valuable insights into the project's successes and challenges. In this blog, Suleiman shares key takeaways, highlights recent improvements in uptake, and shares hope for the future.
