It's such a shame that @NatlParkService won't do anything about this trash mountain in Rock Creek Park. It's a shame we had to go to the media about this. Why do we even pay our taxes if they aren't being used for what they're suppose to be used for?
Today we will be meeting at the Evarts Warehouse to clean up around the neighborhood. Meet up time is 10am at 2627 Evarts St NE. Hope to see y’all there!
Today was a quick clean up with Adam in Rock Creek Park. Same spot we did back in February. We beat the rain and got it all picked up in less than an hour! #moopyourcitydc#sundayfundaycleanup
Picked up everything I could today but ran out of trashbags. @DCDPW has been notified and will come get the bags and pick up the rest of the trash! #sundayfundaycleanupdc
DC activists took more than a ton of critical supplies to Ukrainian refugees over two trips to border countries. @MDMJ2018 co-founder Kris Furnish holds box of Dr. Bronner’s Magic All-One Chocolate that among supplies they delivered last week in Warsaw. https://t.co/V9e8wR81NR
@NatlParkService We ended up having someone else take care of it since it had been over a month since reaching out to you with no response. Thanks anyway but you’re a month late.
After picking up trash in Rock Creek Park well over a month ago, we are sad to announce, the bags are still there and @NatlParkService has yet to respond to our request to pick them up. Now walkers are using it as a trash can. Very sad.
Great job today everyone! Thank you all so much for coming out! Biggest turnout yet and excited to watch this effort grow.
We picked up all kinds of glass/plastic bottles, plastic bags, car parts, barbwire!
Here are the before/after pics!
