@catb0mb I like Cyberpunk, but it didn't need to have AI as dumb as Deus Ex. And its only like Deus Ex for some main missions and some major side quests. The rest of the game is borderlands 1 with no loot + flavor text and like 3 or 4 races.

@ShitpostRock I think C++ is fine, especially when you just write C with a smidge of the object oriented features when it feels appropriate. If stuff is not as optimized as it could be its usually because of time constraints.

Remember how mid-tier 7th gen games would use bloom haphazardly in the past? Or motion blur, excessive depth of field, lot of it can look ugly or lazy if you are just using technology just to use it.

@Hikaru_Shidou_ Good taste is rare so only like a minority have a problem with the remaster. The music is worse and there was that one cutscene with the backwards flying phantom I can't forgive. Also people forget that the game on original release started and ended with Halo 5 cutscenes.

Good taste is also reflected in what you hate, so a good way to discern who REALLY has good taste who doesn't is to weigh what they hate and why.

Hating popular stuff is basic, do you have the taste and resolve to hate and dislike truly niche and avant-garde things?

Even in situations where you reunite an original team like 10 years later its not good since people change.
