That momment when you make an oopsie flub during your obviously over-rehearsed DNC speech.
My thoughts so far is they are not doing a great job speaking to people on the other side of the camera.
They follow up the “wipe immigrants off the earth” speech; with a “Latinos for Trump” guy. While this second guy is talking the camera pans to an audience all holding “mass deportation now”
@pittviper1923 @chicagobars Yeah and the “well if they want to come back when it’s done they should reach out” is the developer trying to avoid any accountability. Every quote in the article from the developer is something being said in the most disingenuous way possible.
@pittviper1923 @chicagobars There was a time when Holiday was thinking of moving across the street… but the roof on that old venue needs serious repair the costs of which are way beyond their means.
@pittviper1923 @chicagobars During the ~two years in which the building is demolished how should they plan on paying their residential rent? What about the brand they built? During the two years where the business is non-existent how do they manage to stay relevant?
@chicagobars In my experience, the inverse is true. In a strange twist if there are lifeguards nearby they WONT let you swim. They even tell you that if you want to swim you have to do so before or after their shift.
The only beach that I know of where you can swim during the daytime is ohio
@Andrefor40th Meanwhile; put that cash towards anything else and it could make a MAJOR impact on multiple higher priorities that would positively effect the lives of many more Chicagoans. To me it’s that simple.
@Andrefor40th If city stakeholders listed out what the our city’s budgetary priorities are alongside the budgetary requirements of those priorities…
This is not one of them. The money being asked for would be going to one sole attraction and supposedly isn’t even enough.
@Shredded_teat Surprisingly… I’m kinda a sucker for the river walk… I have no desire whatsoever to ride a bike in it though. It just isn’t built for it or practical in any way. You’re gonna spend the entire ride dodging pedestrians, and so… I’d rather enjoy it as a pedestrian.
