👉 Ledger learns of a vulnerability on 14 July 2020, patches it immediately, and then investigated the incident. During the investigation, it concluded that an attacker had accessed its e-commerce and marketing database on 25 June 2020.

👉 Ledger publicly announces the breach on 29 July 2020 and emails customers. At that time, it stated that roughly 1 million email addresses and about 9,500 customer records containing additional personal information had been affected.

👉 In December 2020, a much larger dataset appeared online. Ledger then acknowledged that approximately 272,000 customers’ detailed personal information (names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.) had been exposed, far more than the roughly 9,500 detailed records initially identified.

Back in 2025, at the height of the #Crypto #Bullrun when I said we will not see an #Altcoin season and if we do it’ll not last and only a select few will do well, I faced a backlash from some people.
